Customizing the standard_error_message DTML method

Does anyone know if Zope allows customization of error messages? In particular, can 'authorization' error messages be customized? I read somewhere that in earlier Zope versions customization of authorization errors was only possible by editing Zope's Python source code. Is this still the case? Any help would be appreciated. dreamweaver

Dreamweaver seems to work fine with zope for me as long as my dtml-methods include a ".html" document ending. Is there a way that i can a: make dreamweaver edit documents without endings (.html) without it complaining of unknown file-type? What if I suddenly delete Data.fs ?

Hi! I'm in Zope for more than 2 years, but It never happened to me. I was cleaning my var/ directory in my production Linux RH with ext2 box and trying to delete Data.fs.old, I deleted Data.fs. ( ough!!! ) The system asked me if I was sure, and I said Yes! (is there anybody that thinks twice before pressing the Y key?) Fortunately I should have a backup from yesterday that I'm trying to recover (it will last a bit...), but the system is still running. I did a .zexp export of 250 Mb just in the case... and it worked! Great!! Why? The data must be somewhere, what points me that maybe, there is still a chance to get the file back. (I haven't restarted the ZServer...) Any hint? Or... I'd better leave it alone and replace it with my backup copy? (I'm not root in the machine, maybe he could do something?) Thanks! Thanks. I was not aware of fstest.py, but tried it and it reported no problems. So the problem must be related to how Plone was upgraded. The log file is a web access log and does not show service or database events. The warn and messages logs also contain nothing. Btw, the machine was on Plone RC2 not RC1. Any more suggestions welcome. Virtual Host Monster does not work with the absolute_url()

I am finding that the Virtual Host Monster does not work with the absolute_url() method of several objects. It seems to work fine for all other things, but when I try to call the URL of an object like this..... <dtml-in "thismodel.getReports()"> <A HREF="<dtml-var "_['sequence-item'].absolute_url()">?assessmentid=<dtml-var thisassessment>" TARGET="_newer"><dtml-var "getTitleOrId()"></A> </dtml-in> It always returns the path back to the real root of Zope. It completely ignores that there is a Virtual Host Monster. I am certain that my Apache rewrites are ok, Ive been using it for many months with no problem. It is just the absolute_url() method that does not work. Any hints? Tom

I,m trying to layout results returned from a mysql query. I use a Zsql method and z search interface The results come from a single table and come back as a string or tabular list. What is the best way to change the layout from 1 2 3 4 or 1234 to 12 34 thanks
