Freeing ZSQL result sets?

Greetings: How does one free ZSQL result sets? Here's the outline of my situation: 1. Do some logic in DTML and set some REQUEST vars which will be used in a query. 2. Run the query and do a dtml-in loop over it 3. In DTML, some more logic, which if a certain condition exists will re-set the REQUEST vars set in step 1 to new values 4. Run the query again and loop through it using dtml-in Step 4 breaks, presumably because it is still the same query instance as the first and the cursor is at the end of the set...? What is the appropriate way to handle this situation? Currently, I end up duplicating the query exactly into a new query with a unique name. I actually end up hitting that query 4 times in one page, so I have ZSQL methods eg query1, query2, query3, query4, all with identical SQL in them. I imagine I am missing something obvious... thanks for any anwers. Bryan

Installing nVidia TNT2 M64

Hi, I have just installed the above card along side my existing AGP video card. I rebooting using the AGP card and ran Yast2 in order to configure it. Everything seemed to go well. I then rebooted the system, went into the bios and told it to boot using the PCI video card. The system detected the card. Just as SuSE started to boot the system hung right after displaying *GRUB Loading Stage2*. What could be the problem? Thanks, Mike

OpenSector.org announcement & a question

Relative to the announcement below, we're looking for an inexpensive (or free) place to host a backup copy of OpenSector.org's Zope-based site. The way we're currently operating is with the server at a home office with DSL, front-ended by Squid (acting as an HTTP accelerator) on a virtual server at Verio. That's working nicely -- Squid rarely has to hit the Zope server. However, if the DSL goes down, we're off the air. Thus, I'm thinking we should put a ZEO server on the same host and have clients hosted elsewhere, such as home offices, until it outgrows that scenario. That should give us a lot of headroom. Verio's virtual servers are contractually limited by the number of processes, and Squid is just one process! FYI, we built the site in Squishdot, then dropped it into Plone, mainly for its user registration, etc. We've been re-writing Squishdot to eliminate an awful lot of redundancy in the forms and code. From the start of coding to launching the site was only about three weeks, which says a lot for Zope, I think. We'd welcome your advice and experience. While we're no strangers to scalable web sites, we're relatively new to Zope. And if it isn't already obvious, the budget for this is tight, since it's not a revenue-producing activity. We're also looking for contributors -- news and discussion items, as well as people to review and edit. We're building some back-end tools to help our editors find and use items from a variety of RSS feeds and canned search engine queries. Problems with copying own objects

Hi! I've created two own objects, which cannot be copied. The first is derived from the DTMLMethod and the second one is derived from SimpleItem. An error which tells me that the Products doesn't support this operation is raised. It's line 375 of OFS/CopySupport.py. Other objects I derived from Folder or Image work fine. ECONNREFUSED in debug.log, can not log into zope

Hi, I'm looking for information about uploaded files. I would like to know how files like Microsoft WinWord documents are stored when I use CMF or Plone. Are they stored inside ZODB or to a file system? What I'm afraid is that ZODB size explodes... We are expecting more than 30000 users with a lot of document's upload. Thanks. Newbie screwup -- help!

I just started using Zope, and just managed to create part of a usable portal on my site. Then for some dumb reason I changed its name -- now when I try to open the portal from within the management menu, I get a message telling me "Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to load the requested page. This may be caused by cookies that are blocked." I did an undo on the name change, and that doesn't help. Is there anything I can do to get back this portal, or am I s.o.l. -- need to delete it and do it all over again? Thanks for any help. Gordon -- Dr. Gordon A.
