Hi, Can I use Vignette CMS with Zope? Is there any adapter available to integrate zope with third party content management products? Also I want to use a third party search engine. Any pointers would be of great help. Thank you. Regards, Paul.

Evaluating Output of Scripts as HTML in DTML Pages
by Samir Mishra 25 Mar '03

25 Mar '03

Hello all, I'm not even sure where I can look for the answer to this problem. I have a SQL table with a large number of variables. I have a data entry form that uses the following logic about 30 times on a page - ---------------------------- <dtml-let a=RA3_4 b=NRA3_4 t=TOT3_4> <tr> <td /> <td>3.4</td> <td class="row-label"> <dtml-if "a+b==t"><span> <dtml-else><span class="error"> </dtml-if> Cheques in System</span></td> <td><input type="text" dir="rtl" name="RA3_4" value="<dtml-var a>" size="12" maxlength="12" /></td> <td><input type="text" dir="rtl" name="NRA3_4" value="<dtml-var b>" size="12" maxlength="12" /></td> <td><input type="text" dir="rtl" name="TOT3_4" value="<dtml-var t>" size="12" maxlength="12" /></td> </tr> </dtml-let> --------------------------- What I'd like to be able to do is create a Python script that returns the above, AND I need the DTML document to recognise it as part of the code. The above code snippet would be generated by a script, called as - myParseDTML("3.4","Cheques in System", "RA3_4","NRA3_4", "TOT3_4") This script would return the above code. My problem is, I can generate the above code, but it's not evaluated within a DTML Method. As a simple example, I have the following python script - ------------- """ script name - testScript """ text=""" <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> """ return text ------------- How do I get the return value of this script to actually display the above items in a DTML Method? (I hope I've explained this well) Thanks in advance. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Samir.

zope-2.6.1+zeo-2.0.2 not trouble
by Bakhtiar A Hamid 25 Mar '03

hi since upgrading zope from 2.5.1 + zeo1, i've been having frequent zope/zeo client hanging/not responding. the setup: we have zope-2.6.1-src + zeo-2.0.2 on linux with python 2.1.3 frequently, the zeo client hangs/not responding. output of ps axf is below[1] and the stupid.log[2] Also, nothing much in ZEO_EVENTS.log[3] telnet localhost 8080 GET / HTTP/1.0\n\n resulted in nothing. no time out, nothing running ./stop will only kill the parent process, i.e 17160 in the below example. the other processes can only be killed with a kill -9 17161. restarting the zeoclient will make it respond again. i've tried zeo2.1a1( iirc) and the behaviour is the same i used to run with persistent zeo cache (ZEO_CLIENT=12000) in the ENV, but running without is still the same. i've also tried runnin with -Z1, and -Z- also the same behaviour thanks for any help/pointers ------ ps axwf [1] # ps axf|grep py 17560 pts/0 D 0:00 \_ grep py 17160 ? RE: [Zope] html space( ) in string

[Jos van der Vleuten ] > chr(38) is also rendered as & Too bad, I was hoping that the main problem was to get the ampersand through to the processor in a well-formed way. But it seems that the downstream escaping is too simple-minded. Cheers, Tom P
