I am having a problem with zope 2.9.4 occasionally pegging the CPU and thereafter being unusable -- there are some indications in the event log that this is related to "pool_size" being too small. Lacking any other strategy to determine the cause of the problem, I am considering experimenting increasing "pool_size" to see what effect it has. A search returns some inprecise information on how to do this. My understanding is that this can be modified in the zope.conf for the instance. Can anybody give me precise information on modifying this parameter or point me to a concise resource on configuring the zodb in general,

Path Level in Catalog

I recently had to rebuild our catalog using the manage_catalogFind form in the ZMI. In this case, I simply selected the object types that I wanted recataloged, then clicked the "find and catalog" button. However, I now notice that almost every object that was found is entered into the catalog twice, once with the relative path from the top of the site, and second with a path that begins above the folder in which the site is contained, such as: 1) /myobject/ 2) /mysite/myojbect Tell me, does anyone have any suggestions for an expression to find and catalog only objects with the first path and omit all objects starting with the second path. Any advice is appreciated. John T.

FTP acquisition problem with Zope 2.10.1

Hi, I've installed a fresh Zope 2.10.1 and noticed a strange behaviour when connectiong via FTP: Through the ZMI I've created a Folder /A with a DTMLDocument "a" and an empty Subfolder B: / -/A ---a -/B If I connect via FTP to the server and trying to upload an ASCII file "a" to the folder /A/B it overwrites the "a" object in the parent A folder and does not create a new "a" object in the /A/B folder. An old 2.7.3 Zope doesn't show this acquisition behavior. Cheers, Marcus

How can I install PyWin32 with Zope?

I tried doing it with Zope 2.7 (python 2.3.5), and it didn't work. Would it be easier to do with a higher version? First I had to register Zope's python, which gave me problems. Then I included Zope's path with Set Path, and moved the installer to the bin folder, and it worked.
