Error codes
by Graham King 08 Mar '02

08 Mar '02

This may have been done to death before.... bear with me. Have searched around a fair bit for the meaning of "error codes", as in the ubiquitous "Aiieee! 10318 exited with error code: 138" Can anybody direct me to a repository where these specific errors are documented, what they mean, and how many there might be? (My memories of shelves full of books of documentation, and the biblical "System Error Messages and Codes", are receding even as mainframes wisp away into the mists of Avalonic myth). cheers Graham

Help: ZPT + Product Devel: How do I call a PageTemplateFile from a manage_addMyProduct() function?
by jkinsley 08 Mar '02

08 Mar '02

Hi, I am developing a product that uses PageTemplates for its management forms. While this works, my problem arises in the fact that I want to perform some tests before the PageTemplate form is called so that the results of the tests are available in the form. # When I do this, the form is properly displayed, but the tests are # not performed. manage_addMyProductForm=PageTemplateFile('forms/manage_addMyProductForm.pt', globals(), __name__='manage_addMyProductForm') # I want to be able to do this, but I can not figure out how to # return the form. def manage_addMyProductForm(client, REQUEST, *args, **kw): """Returns form to add My Product.""" if test1: pass_test1=1 else: pass_test1=0 if not test2: pass_test2=1 else: pass_test2=0 form=PageTemplateFile('forms/manage_addMyProductForm.pt', globals(), __name__='manage_addMyProductFormTmpl') # Here is where my problem is. # This fails with an AttributeError on other in # Shared.DC.Scripts.Bindings._getTraverseSubpath # Where REQUEST.other is used. return form(client, REQUEST, args=args, pass_test1=pass_test1, pass_test2=pass_test2) Finally in the form template, I want to be able to do something like this: <tr tal:condition="not:pass_test1"> <td>Display Row</td> </tr> <tr tal:condition="pass_test2"> <td>Display Row</td> </tr> Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Regards, Jarrod Kinsley BTI Communications Co.

Aquiring question
by Antonio Beamud Montero 08 Mar '02

08 Mar '02

Hello all: Suposse I have the next structure: A (Folder) with a dictionary with properties x = PersistenMapping() def get_property(self, y): return x[y] B inside A is another folder, and in a dmtl method of B I want to call get_property() not on B, but on A, (this manner I can use the x dicctionary, i.e. acquire the x dicctionary too)... How I can do this? Is it possible? In the dtml method get_property is evaluated on B, and it doesn't find a dictionary instance... static site -> Zope
by Mark Gibson 08 Mar '02

I know the Zope distribution comes with a script that allows you to load files, or a site on the filesystem into Zope, but I can't seem to find it, or remember what it's called. Can anyone help?

I have installed your WebDavLogger, so I attach the log (I have tried to understand something but it's too difficult for me now, and I only have erased part of it!). Thank you! Michele

Zope people online?
by Robert A. Klahn 08 Mar '02

Is there anyplace that Zope people hang out online, such as in IRC? I'm a Zope kinda newbie and would love to have a place to throw out the occasional question, and may even have an answer or two to give (if I am lucky). Just wondering. Thanks. -- Robert A.
