Hello Chris and others The sun is shining and a little experimenting brought me a little further. The problem seems to be in the data.fs, and probably not in the dns-lookup. I removed the 2.5.0 installation completely and installed 2.4.3 again. It worked fine in an new installation, the authentication popup showed immediately. Then i added the data.fs from the 2.4.1 production server (yes, i did remove the indices) Again, it worked fine, the authentication popup showed immediately. Then i removed 2.4.3 completely. With a fresh 2.5.0 installion and a fresh data.fs it worked fine. Conclusion: nothing wrong with dns Then i added the data.fs. from the 2.4.1 production server, and there the problem was again. A slow popup, 24 seconds to appear. New idea 1: updating via 2.4.3 add old 2.4.1 data.fs to 2.4.3 test server, pack it, and add the result to the 2.5.0 test server >From 2.4.1 to 2.4.3 the size went from 5.5 to 6.1 mb. When i packed it it was again 5.5 mb But when i added the 2.4.3 data.fs to the 2.5.0 installation the problem was there again. New idea 2: updating via export That is what i am going to do now, but this takes quite an effort. May be somebody has another idea? I have done this python code: import string cadena=split(REQUEST.url) for i in cadena: print i # I do more things whith the string but this doesn´t mind REQUEST.url : comes from a form (ZOPE), it´s a textarea filled with a list of url. Implementing page comments?

I would like to implement page comments on my website (something similar to the comments on the end of http://www.photo.net/samantha/samantha-I and other cities based on ArsDigita, although probably a bit differently presented). Currently I consider hacking squishdot a bit so it can be used as part of the page, but maybe I am wrong and there is some better way? What zopist use in the similar context?

ReportLab + Zope : here's a working example

Hi, some time ago I've put some sample scripts for people who didn't know how to use ReportLab from within Zope, at : http://cortex.unice.fr/~jerome/RLfromZope unfortunately, because of lack of time those scripts were just made for people to look at, but people couldn't make them run, because I hadn't stripped all our particularities : some methods and images were missing. so I'm please to announce the availability of rlzope, available from the very same url as mentionned above, but which is a completely self contained and working example (tested under Netscape 4.77 and Mozilla 0.9.7 under Debian GNU/Linux) which you can play with. Where should I go?

Internet Explorer 6.0 implements the p3p privacy standard. But I can't get IE6 to accept my cokkies even though I have a privacy statement. I've looked all over the web but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Does anybody know of any mailing lists or websites that concern this so I can figure out why it isn't working? The p3p validator at w3.org sais that everything is fine. I've used IBM's p3p generator do create the statement and it sais everything is fine. IE6 doesn't complain, it just rejects my cookies, even at the next lowest setting, which should mean that I either have no compact policy (which I do) or that I collect information without the users implicit concent (which I don't). I'm stumped. Where do I find help?

Document Library Question

Have anybody develop, a dtml page which is able to submit multiple documents? I have a lot of documents, really a lot, that I want to include in the Doc.Library. Now the only way I have been able to make is a page with a lot of submit buttons ( one for doc), so I'm a lot of clics ago to submit all my documents. Please I need help!! displaying a DTML Method from a Python Script

Hello, I just worte a Python Script that I want to act as a page, so I need it to "include" the standard_html_header and standard_html_footer contents. I tried things like: print context.standard_html_header() and varieties thereof, but the closest I get is an error about "this" not being defined, which is funny since "this" does not appear anywhere in my script.
