Extensions to Image object

Good afternoon, I'm trying to make an image object with a description. I have done this in Python code, but now I want to make this in DTML. The method that I've used in Python goes like this: def index_html(self,PARENTS,REQUEST): """Extension of img_src to allow textual elements""" return self.render(PARENTS,REQUEST) def img_src(self, REQUEST, RESPONSE): """ The default view of the contents of a File or Image. namespace problem

Hi, How can I use named arguments and still have the namespace available for the method? Here follows what I do and why I have the problem: I have a dtml-method which is supposed to output a <select>...</select> form element. To do this it needs a loop over the results of an ZSQL method. The ZSQL method should only return rows with one special value. So it look like this ZSQL method "sites" (name is of course a defined argument) in folder "/sql" SELECT FROM SITES WHERE NAME=<dtml-sqlvar name type=string> DTML-Method "site" in folder "choose": <dtml-in "sql.sites(name=sitename)"> And I want to call the DTML-Method like this <dtml-var "choose.site(sitename=parsedname)"> The problem is, if I call the dtml-method like this it won't work. I need to call it like <dtml-var "choose.site(_.None,_)"> But in that case I can not of named arguments like "sitename=parsedname" and I have to set "sitename" via the REQUEST object. I find this very unelegant. How can I use named arguments and still have the namespace available for the method? Newbie question re referring to items

Hi all, Feel stupid for asking this question, but can't work it out... Given a folder structure similar to the following: / test images content How does a dtml document in /test/content obtain an image from the /test/images folder, without using the <img...> tag. in a dtml-in loop. the variable previous-sequence is only set on the first itteration, and next-sequence on the last. how can thay be accessed so a prev/next button can be set at both the top and bottom of the list returned. the file area of zope does it. ;> how hard is it? pokey

Thanks for all the help guys... Actually, I knew these techniques, but for some reason, they were failing. Suddenly I realised I had a different images folder one level up which was being acquired rather than the images directory I wanted, higher up the tree. Moral - delete temporary folders before they bite you in the ass - and think before posting.
