Re: newbie -- DTML arguments

Don't forget that in addition to passing arguments explicitly via keywords, you can also pass them through REQUEST, either by setting the variables directly or using GET or POST. >Date: Wed, 06 Feb 2002 11:02:18 +0000 >From: hans <hans(a)beehive.de> >To: Terry Hancock <hancock(a)anansispaceworks.com> >CC: zope(a)zope.org >Subject: Re: [Zope] newbie -- DTML arguments > >As http://www.zope.org/Members/michel/ZB/AppendixB.dtml reveals: >class DTMLMethod >... >__call__(client=None, REQUEST={}, **kw) > _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.

RE: [Zope] Simple HTML Formatting Tool?
by Keith Alperin 06 Feb '02

I've also been looking for a free wysiwig html editor that I could use for a project I'm working on. After receiving this last post, I googled "IEMethod" and found this url: http://www.bris.ac.uk/ISC/cms/ttw.html This page provides a long list of wysiwig editors. A quick search through my Zope archives shows that Paul Browning also submitted this link last December. Enjoy, Keith R. Someone else suggested IEMethod and it looks like it will be perfect for my needs. passing values from dtml->dtml; http quote?
by John Hunter 06 Feb '02

06 Feb '02

I have some arguments that I want to pass from one DTML method to another. In the source DTML document, the values are in the REQUEST object. I could pass them to the destination document with the CGI syntax <a href=print_eeg_description?id=<dtml-var id>&fname=<dtml-var eeg_url>&date=<dtml-var date>>description</a> where print_eeg_description is the destination DTML document. The problem I am encountering is one of the vars has a space in it; I need something like HTTP quote. But this also makes me wonder if there is a better way to pass variables between DTML documents. Thanks, John Hunter Zope 2.4.1

Getting rid of CST in 2.5?
by Stefan H. Holek 06 Feb '02

06 Feb '02

I'd like to get rid of the default session tracking coming with Zope 2.5 as I need to use the SQLSession product. How would I do it? Simply deleting the Sessions product did not help, as it rendered the instance inaccessible... Thanks, Stefan

Re-add a disk-based product that was deleted
by Gregory Dudek 06 Feb '02

06 Feb '02

I have a disk based product that was not working. I manually deleted it from the product management interface in the control panel folder. Now I have anew version that seems OK, but I can't persuade zope to look in the Products folder and find the product again. Help! Of course, I could undo the deleteion but then zope will get mixed up between the old and new versions, I fear. Any ideas? Thanks, Greg

Simple HTML Formatting Tool?
by Richard Gordon 06 Feb '02

06 Feb '02

I googled around a bit, but couldn't come up with anything- is there a tool/product for Zope that would let a luser who wants to select a single arbitrary word or phrase in a dtml document editing window bracket it with basic html formatting like <i>xxx</i>? I am trying to develop a content management system that can be used by people who refuse to learn any html at all, but who essentially want to be able to pretend that they are using m$ word to author with. Courtesy of M$ and AOL, most of Corporate America is manned by technologically dysfunctional people who expect the interface to take care of all of the dirty work and either can't or won't type in simple tags. Any pointers would be appreciated. Richard Gordon -------------------- Gordon Design Web Design/Database Development http://www.richardgordon.net
