I need to use a Java servlet from Zope. Is there any way? There is a .jar (free) that implement a data mining algoritms, and I would like to work with it from my Zope application. OK, if I do a "View/Page Source" in netscape on that index_html page, I see the dtml code...the server is not parsing it out. What might cause that? Why would this be something new in 2.5.0? Installing PyXML in Windows Zope 2.5.0?

I would like to know more about installing C extension-using modules such as PyXML into Zope's Python Layout. I installed the "PyXML 0.7 (For Python 2.2)" windows binary distribution into my separate Python 2.2 installation, and it used C:\progra~1\Python\Lib\site-packages\ to do its intermediate build operations. That path was found from a known registry key by the installer, but I had the opportunity to choose something else. The built modules were installed under Python\Lib\xml\, as expected. If I were to use "PyXML 0.7 (For Python 2.1)" and install it into my Zope installation on the same machine, would I select a path of C:\progra~1\Zope\bin\lib\site-packages\, where I create \site-packages manually before the install? Thanks.

Hello all, This is my first post. I've noticed a couple of weird things in 2.5.0. First off, the management editor keeps insisting on putting closing tags in for <dtml-var> (like </dtml-var>) after I click "Save Changes" on a DTML doc. Also, for some reason, the <dtml-var someDTMLMethod> doesn't work. Here's an example: index_html is a dtml document that contains the following (note the dotted lines are not part of the code, they just delimit it for the purposes of this email): ------------------------------------ <dtml-var standard_html_header> Testing... <dtml-var testDtmlMethod> Done test! <dtml-var standard_html_footer> ------------------------------------ and testDtmlMethod is a DTML Method that contains: ----------------------- IF THE TEST WORKS THIS SHOULD PRINT!!! ----------------------- When you view index_html in the browser, it looks like this: ----------------------- Testing... ending a chunked http stream

I'm writing some things in a stream to the browser, to keep the user informed that stuff is happening while a long-winded process unfolds. When that process has ended, I want to publish a DTML template as a new page. I've also been looking for a free wysiwig html editor that I could use for a project I'm working on. After receiving this last post, I googled "IEMethod" and found this url: http://www.bris.ac.uk/ISC/cms/ttw.html This page provides a long list of wysiwig editors.
