RE: CMF Options (Blark) Product and Zope 2.4x
by Jeff Sasmor 05 Dec '01

Sorry for the crossposting to zope-cmf(a)zope.org and zope(a)zope.org, but I didn't want to miss anyone. I had been getting various reports of incompatibilities between Zope 2.4.x versions and the CMFOptions product, in particular, the Blark weblog. For various reasons, I wasn't able to check up on any of this until today; and I can't find anything wrong; although my development environment is different- Zope 2.4.3 on Win2K; previously I only developed on Linux boxes. Anyway, if there is anyone having problems with this product with the current release of Zope (2.4.3) (problems of the 'non-working' or 'error' variety, please no feature requests), please contact me at the email address below. Please include tracebacks! Thanx all, Jeff Sasmor jeff(a)sasmor.com www.netkook.com is an "open Zope CMF site"

WebDav w/ Zope 2.3.3 and Dreamweaver 4.01
by Jason C. Leach 05 Dec '01

05 Dec '01

hi, I'm trying to use WebDAV on Zope 2.3.3 and Dreamweaver 4.01. Here is the problem, if a user tries to push a file onto the site it fails if the file does not already exist. If the file exists already, there is no problem, the file is updated. Is this a Zope problem or a DreamWeaver problem, or perhaps me? This is the log from posting a non-existing file (it should create a new one): 216.232.nnn.nnn - - [04/Dec/2001:16:50:05 -0700] "PROPFIND /test/footer.html HTTP/1.1" 404 2303 "" "Dreamweaver-WebDAV-SCM1.02" Thanks, j. -- ...................... ..... RE: [Zope] zope.ico

Hi *, Here's a similar version to Roger's icon I created for use on my Windows servers. - Michael -----Original Message----- From: zope-admin(a)zope.org [mailto:zope-admin@zope.org]On Behalf Of Roger Erens Sent: Wednesday, 5 December 2001 7:34 AM To: zope(a)zope.org Subject: [Zope] zope.ico For MS Windows users: this message includes an icon to be used instead of the stupid MSDOS-batch icon accompanying the start.bat file. I cut the 'Powered by Zope' image and gave it a transparent background. Still pretty ugly, so this is actually some sort of challenge for the person who enjoys producing nifty icons. I'm not good at it. Greetings, Roger Erens There is only one thing in the world worse than writing Python code, and that is not writing Python code. CMF, like it? hate it? why? other options?
by Jacob Singh 04 Dec '01

Is CMF worth investing the wicked steep learning curve. I really am banging my head against the wall with it. Mainly in terms of how to make it look like and feel like a normal website and not one that members need to know what folder an article is published in. It's all very confusing to me, but I se the benefits. What's your opinions? Jacob Singh P.S. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about: http://cmf.zope.org

boolean search
by Pablo Ziliani 04 Dec '01

04 Dec '01

Dear all, Even though it seems so basic, I could't find a single reference to this problem. I'm trying to list some objects of a given meta_type based on some booleans they *might* have. For example: <dtml-in "Catalog.searchResults({'meta_type':'whatever','published':'1'})"> While a missing boolean property (¿always?) means "off", there's often arbitrary values when in "on" state, mainly depending on how the input was set in the form. So the question is: how should the query be set to bring only those items that DO have a certain property? TIA, Pablo
