WebDav w/ Zope 2.3.3 and Dreamweaver 4.01

hi, I'm trying to use WebDAV on Zope 2.3.3 and Dreamweaver 4.01. Here is the problem, if a user tries to push a file onto the site it fails if the file does not already exist. If the file exists already, there is no problem, the file is updated. Is this a Zope problem or a DreamWeaver problem, or perhaps me? CMF, like it? hate it? why? other options?

Is CMF worth investing the wicked steep learning curve. I really am banging my head against the wall with it. Mainly in terms of how to make it look like and feel like a normal website and not one that members need to know what folder an article is published in. For MS Windows users: this message includes an icon to be used instead of the stupid MSDOS-batch icon accompanying the start.bat file. I cut the 'Powered by Zope' image and gave it a transparent background. Still pretty ugly, so this is actually some sort of challenge for the person who enjoys producing nifty icons. boolean search

Dear all, Even though it seems so basic, I could't find a single reference to this problem. I'm trying to list some objects of a given meta_type based on some booleans they *might* have. For example: <dtml-in "Catalog.searchResults({'meta_type':'whatever','published':'1'})"> While a missing boolean property (¿always?) means "off", there's often arbitrary values when in "on" state, mainly depending on how the input was set in the form. So the question is: how should the query be set to bring only those items that DO have a certain property? TIA, Pablo

Zope on Mac OS X -- startup exception

I just installed Zope 2.4.3 (python 2.1) on Macintosh OS X Server (10.1.1). The install went okay, but I can't start up the server. The error log shows this error: ------ 2001-12-03T15:38:11 PANIC(300) z2 Startup exception Traceback (innermost last): File z2s.py, line 861, in ? IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/Applications/Zope/var/Z2.pid' ------ 2001-12-03T15:38:11 PROBLEM(100) zdaemon zdaemon: Mon Dec 3 10:38:11 2001: The kid, 25215, died on me. Another Zope user gave me this piece of advice: "The problem looks like you installed the package as a different user to the one you're trying to run it as." I installed as cafrica and logged in to my machine as cafrica, but the passwords are different. Could that be the problem? sendmail in standard_error_message

Hi All, When I add a dtml-sendmail block to my standard_error_message, I no longer get the custom error page at all, but the built-in one (headed up "Site Error." I read in the archives that this can be due to the standard_error_message object itself raising an error, but I have put the code in another object and it works fine there. Any idea what I've done wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The code in question is included below. Thanks a lot, Arian Here's the code for the standard_error_message object I'm using, which tests for a NotFound error to treat 404 errors differently. If the sendmail block is removed, it works fine.
