Manipulating Dates in Zope

Is there a way in Zope (preferably in a python script rather than DTML) to manipulate dates so that you can calculate the date, say, six months ahead (regardless of the intermediate months having 28/29/30/31 days)? Some dates must be calculated on increments other than days. For example, a response to something may be due three months from the present date (e.g., February 4, 2002) or five years from the present date (e.g., December 4, 2006). Simply adding days would not take into account months that have more/less than 30 days. Does Zope/python have any tools that can be employed for the above in a python script? Thanks in advance, Ron

absolute_url FTP upload and CatalogAware (PLAIN TEXT!)

When I upload a file of a certain class (HTMLDocument) that is CatalogAware the entry in the catalog does not contain the real absolute_url. Instead it shows "http://myserver:21/Zope/Dir1/Dir2/object.html" where "myserver" is the hostname of the linux server, 21 is the FTP port used by Zope and Dir1 & Dir2 are directories. When I clear the catalog and add the documents by clicking "Find Objects" the absolute_url is correct. What is happening here? Any help? Niclas Kuehne Reply to: niclas(a)eho2000.de

Changing Squishdot AddPostingForm

We are customising a Squishdot install (using the squishdot theme demo) under Zope 2.4.3. We'd like to change the 'Department' text field to become a selectable list of pre-defined values. How can we do this? We have seen this done before (the different document types in the DocumentLibrary Product is a property value made of of different 'lines' (as opposed to 'text' or 'boolean' etc.) and this is then read in as a value list when using the appropriate form for adding a document. Is this similar to what needs to be done in Squishdot? If so, where and how? Thanks in advance,

Documentation Library topics

Using the DocumentLibrary product 1.0b3, we are getting a single comma (,) where the Topics assigned to the documents should appear within the extra 'info' window. This function previously worked on our install of Zope 2.4.3 under Sun Solaris, but isn't working under the same version of Zope under SuSE Linux 7.3 Professional. We can't see anything obviously wrong with the defined index topics, etc. What else could be causing this problem? Thanks in advance,

creating new users

We've had two installs of Zope 2.4.3 on a Sun Solaris and a Linux server. In both instances, Zope is not recognising new users that we have defined for a folder in the normal way (i.e. via the acl_users folder). It just doesn't like the username or password that we try and enter. After three attempts, it errors. At the moment, the only account that is allowed by Zope is the admin account created during the install. Can anyone offer any suggestions? This has happened on two different servers, with different OS's but with the same version number of Zope. Thanks in advance!
