Hi! I try to render a lot of HTML-text using: <dtml-in "getHTML()"> <dtml-var sequence-item> </dtml> where sequence-item is single paragraph of HTML. If i do this, the text isn't displayed correctly. The end of array returned by getHTML() not displayed... it looks like this: <p><DIV ID="COMMENT"><P ALIGN="JUSTIFY"><SPAN><FONT COLOR="Fuchsia"><I><A HREF="346,0" onClick="gotoLink(this)">См. комментарий к статье 37 Конституции РФ</A></I></FONT></SPAN></P></DIV></p> <p><DIV ID="COMMENT"><PRE></PRE></DIV></p> <p><DIV ID="COMMENT"><A NAME="348"></A><P ALIGN="CENTER"><B>Статья 38</B></P></DIV></p> <p><DIV ID="COMM ^^^^^^^^^ here it breaks When the fmt=structured-text is specified for dtml-var tag all text displayed correctly, but it takes too long time. Do you now any perfomance tricks&tips??? Regard, Andrew

Is there some documentation that would help convert a Zope application to a zope product. I am not really sure what files a zope product needs and so on...

using mysql LOAD command
by hamzatk＠3dresearch.com 03 Dec '01

Hi, I have my zope server and mysql server at the remote site. I can logged in to my zope server from my local computer but yet to log to mysql server. I have already created a table into database inside mysql server at the remote site through the Mysql database connection created inside the zope server. I didn't want to use INSERT COMMAND to store values into this table (for obvious reasons) so i would have preferred LOAD command. I have already tried these ffg. from the Mysql database connection management screen but all failed.. LOAD DATA FROM "C:\text.txt" INTO TABLE test error :ProgrammingError Error Value: (1064, 'You have an error in your SQL syntax near \'from "c:\\text.txt" into table test\' at line 1') LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE "text.txt" INTO TABLE test LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE "c:\text.txt" INTO TABLE test error:The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request POST /jambng_db/manage_test. Reason: Document contains no data Please assist. regards. kamal

Deletion problem
by Demont Maarten 03 Dec '01

03 Dec '01

Hi I'm trying to delete an object in the ZODB database. I try: " <dtml-call "zmovie_images.manage_delObjects(ids=zmovie_id)"> " zmovie_images is my subdirectory and I know zmovie_id is the correct id of the file I try to delete (I tested it). However, no deletion is done and there is no errormessage whatsoever... Can anyone help? Thanx Maarten Demont Zope-newbie :o)

dtml-if question
by Kyroraz 03 Dec '01

03 Dec '01

Hello, I am looking to search a SQL database for variables that may have been passed by a webform. Basically, when a user submits a userform, there are checkboxes that can or cannot be checked, and I would like to check the results back for the existance of these variables against the SQL database. An example would be... <dtml-in sql_method_that_returns_all_values> <dtml-if <dtml-var important_column_that_may_exist_also_as_a_passed_variable> > Yes, this was passed. <dtml-else> No, it wasn't passed </dtml-if> This is the logic that I am seeking, but I get a syntax error every time I try this. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Jason

Variable number of arguments
by Jesper Holmberg 03 Dec '01

03 Dec '01

I'm having troubles passing a non-specified number of variables from a form to a method in one of my products. The (simplified) method is like this: def manage_editAction(self, *arguments, **keywords): "Prints values" print len(arguments) for arg in arguments: print "arg:", arg print len(keywords) for kw in keywords.keys(): print kw, ':', keywords[kw] And the corresponding dtml is like this: <html> <body> <form name="form" action="." method="post"> <input type='text' size='20' name="name"> <input type="submit" value="Change" name="manage_editAction:method"> </form> </body> </html> But this results in both len(arguments) and len(keywords) being 0 (I've tried with only one of them (*arguments or **keywords) as well). If I change the method to this: def manage_editAction(self, name): "Prints values" print "name:", name it works as predicted, the value of 'name' is printed. So why does it not work with a variable number of arguments? Wanted: Zope Sites dealing with Arts,Architecture,Multimedia
by flynt 03 Dec '01

Hi For once a nontechnical question: Does someone know about publicly accessible sites _powered by Zope_ which deal with Arts or with Architecture ? I could need some showcases to get people working in those domains interested in Zope (and pictures always help more than words ;-) Thanks --- Flynt
