Newbie: How to change the value of a dtml-var?

Please help, i have tried everything. I just simple want to change the value of a let variable i created. Is this possible to do? I want something like this: <dtml-let x="blank"> <dtml-var x> = "test1" //I dont want to print anything here, just change the value of variable x </dtml-let> __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Another thing: I'm using a breadcrumb system on my page that currently uses obj.absolute_url() to add the links. The absolute_url() that the Aims Document accessed via http://server/deutsch/research/Aims returns is still http://server/english/research/Aims (the physical place). Is there a way that I could change that? How would I resolve the url to take the MFolder Product into count? Thanks again, Philipp Robbel

Speed of Zope sever

Hey all, I seem to recall reading something like this before, but it could have just been a dream. Anyway, is there a correlation between the size of the ZODB and its speed at which it serves files to be viewed via http? Granted, we have only been on our development box, so when we finish sites, we'll just export/import them to the production server, but is there some way to speed up Zope? I've scheduled a meeting with our sys admin to see if he knows something, but I wanted to pool this resource as well. Thanks in advance, Tommy Innovation: The Best Way To Predict The Future ... SubObject view for "folderish" ZClasses

Zopistas, I am using Zope 2.4... I have created a "folderish" ZClass. When I look at it the subObjects view is not there, I looked at an earlier Zope version with a "folderish" ZClass I created and found it was there. It is also mentioned multiple times in the list archives. I want to limit the add list within this folderish object to only the objects I create for it. How do I do this now? TIA, -- Jeffrey D. Hi Dieter and others, first of all: thanks for your great product: i admit - it looks like the perfect choice to me. I installed it on Zope 2.3.2 and get the following behaviour: My structure: root |- german (has its standard_html_header) | `- research `- english (has its standard_html_header `- research `- ProjectOne (folder with index_html: <dtml-var standard_html_header>Welcome.<dtml-var standard_html_footer>) I installed a MFolder as "root" (see above) with a MirrowId__ set to "english". When I type in the following URL into the browser: http://server/root/german/research/ProjectOne I get the english standard_html_header along with ProjectOne's index_html. Is there a way to modify your great product so that ProjectOne's index_html <dtml-var standard_html_header/footer> get the german's standard_html_header/footer? How do I efficiently join catalog results with other data?

Here is my problem: I have a dynamic per user map of data about various objects. I want to do a catalog search, combine the results with my other dynamic data and then sort on the dynamic data. Has anyone tried doing this? How do I do it efficiently, still getting the benifits of low memory usage of lazy result sets? Can I do this transparently so the results of the join look like a normal catalog results? Can I do this using only through the web scripts?

After calling the DTML method, the next-sequence can't work
