After calling the DTML method, the next-sequence can't work
by Angie tel 27 Jul '01

Hi Phil, i got a problem on calling the method. i intended to call a search (SQL method) statement, which exactly like this: comment:to select one SQL method <dtml-if "_['patient_name']!='' and _['patient_id']==''"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('b', Search_patient3)"> <dtml-elif "_['patient_id']=='' and _['patient_name']==''"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('b', Selectallpatient)"> </dtml-if> comment:to use the SQL method which already declared in above <dtml-in b>......</dtml-in> After the DTML method was called out, it still can return the first page correctly but when i click on the --next XXX records-- it return the error message like this: Error Type: KeyError Error Value: patient_name Traceback:................. File C:\Program Files\WebSite\lib\python\DocumentTemplate\DT_Util.py, line 339, in eval (Object: _['patient_name']!='' and _['patient_id']=='') (Info: _) File <string>, line 0, in ? File C:\Program Files\WebSite\lib\python\DocumentTemplate\DT_Util.py, line 161, in careful_getitem KeyError: (see above) Is the above if-else statement gone wrong? it seems failed to pass the parameter to the next page, I tried to display the even and odd record in different color, but also can not work Angie --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Re: [Zope] atomic operations

You aren't having to worry about this. last_insert_id is per connection, and not confused by activitiy across connections. Otherwise, mySQL is decidely non-transactional. postgresql has that. > ------------ Original Message ----------- > From: Gustavo Vieira Goncalves Coelho Rios <gustavo(a)ifour.com.br> > Date: Thu, 26 Jul 2001 15:26:02 -0300 > > Hi folks! > > I have a table it has an auto increment fields. How could i have the id id > insert by my last query atomically? I know i could use last_insert_id() > function with MySQL, but since my mysql handler is shared by many instances of > Zope, i cannot garantee that no other query runs between the insert and > the select last_insert_id queries. > > Any ideia ? > > -- > There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and > that is not being talked about. > -- Oscar Wilde > > _______________________________________________ > Zope maillist - Zope(a)zope.org > http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope > ** No cross posts or HTML encoding! ** > (Related lists - > http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-announce > http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-dev )

Hi, Is it possible to store many file in a linux folder and to be able to list them (with many different properties) under zope ? I'd like to be able to search on them with these properties but I don't want the files to be in the ZODB... Is Localfs helpful for that ? Bye. cascading dictionaries in dtml
by redaguermas＠yahoo.com 27 Jul '01

27 Jul '01

I am building a dictionary in an external method: dict = {'user_name':'jim', 'password':'powers'} I also add it to the request using: container.REQUEST.set('results', dict) The problem is that I am unable to retrive the results dictionary on my dtml document. When I do: <dtml-var "REQUEST.get('results')"> I can see my dictionary but I am not able to get the individual values in the dictionary. Nothing worked so far. I guess it's a case of cascading dictionaries in dtml document. Help, please

Trimming a text field in a form
by Tommy Johnson 27 Jul '01

27 Jul '01

Hey all, Another question. How do you trim a form field with dtml? I have JavaScript doing it when the form is submitted, but that doesn't help much for those browsers whose user's have disabled JavaScript. In ColdFusion, or even the dreaded ASP, I had a Trim() function at my disposal. Is there something that I can do with dtml - possibly a python expression that I use in a <dtml-call expr=""> type thingy? Thanks in advance, Tommy Innovation: The Best Way To Predict The Future ... RE: Xron question
by Loren Stafford 27 Jul '01

You should have logging enabled (search for STUPID_LOG_FILE for more info). The STUPID_LOG_FILE shows every event that is triggered, along with any error conditions that may have occurred. Look inside the Schedule object and make sure the event is scheduled. If somehow it is not scheduled, you can reschedule it by making (or feining) an update to it's scheduled time. HTH. If not, give me more information. Please copy the mailing list zope(a)zope.org so others that may have similar problems can benefit. -- Loren > > Hello, > > > > I don't know if this email is still valid for the developer of Xron for > zope. > > > > I'm having trouble with an hourly task that I have scheduled that won't > > fire automatically on zope 2.3.3 > > > > Any ideas where I can start looking for stuff? > > > > Thanks > > > > Howard
