I did something like that the two weeks ago. After saving the info, I wanted to send them back to a certain page, and tell them that the info was saved successfully. Admin_editSectionForm is the page I wanted to send them to sectionSaved is a parameter I wanted to pass. <dtml-let pageLocation="'Admin_editSectionForm' + '?sectionSaved=1'"> <dtml-call expr="RESPONSE.redirect(pageLocation)"> </dtml-let> I remember having to use the dtml-let to build the location and querystring because I was having the same problem as you. Cooledit and zope functionality

Has anyone used the Unix X editor CoolEdit? http://cooledit.sourceforge.net/index.php It seems to have some Zope functionality but when I select Zope Mode it dies with a python error. I may have a play with it but would welcome any comments from those who use it... So any comments from the wider world? Cheers Chris

Compiling 2.4.0 under Mac OS X?

Hey, all. Trying to compile 2.4.0 under Mac OS X. Hi, I'm pleased to announce the latest version of my french document titled "Le choix de Zope comme plate-forme d'enseignement a distance", you can read it in HTML format at: http://cortex.unice.fr/~jerome/choixzope/ Unfortunately the PDF version will be available later today, or this evening. This document, which title may be translated into "The choice of Zope as a distance learning platform", describes Zope and Python and references some Zope products which may prove to be useful in such an environment, as well as all the projects I know of worldwide which use Zope when building a distance learning platform. The latest modifications are: - some clarifications. - some links checks. - references of some of the now available Zope books out there. Some more modifications will be delayed until September, because I'll be on holidays in 3 hours now :-)) Please feel free to send me any experiences you may have in such a situation in order for me to include them in a future version of this document, if you want. StructuredText(NG) in 2.4 doesn't like my links anymore

After upgrading to Zope 2.4, I noticed that in stx-formatted text, links ending with an exclamation mark won't be shown as links anymore, but as plain text: Try this: "Click here":http://www.zope.org "Click here!":http://www.zope.org Can anyone confirm this misbehavior? Or have I maybe just missed a change in usage, and this is valid? Thx alot in advance, Danny

Opening PDFs

Dear All Firstly, thank you to everyone who helped with my questions on table widths and css. The table width problem was solved when I found a table class definition in the css with width=100%. Removed this and all is happy. The css font issue is still an issue but I can live with it for now. On to a new question. Usually when a PDF is opened from a web site the Acrobat Reader opens in the browser. But when opening PDFs from our zope site a File Download box appears not once but twice and sometime three times and the Acrobat Reader is opened outside of the browser. The PDFs are added as files (not external files due to other issues). Can this behaviour be changed? Probleme bei Anbindung Zope -> mysql

Hallo Gemeinde, bin recht neu hier und möchte zope an MySQL anbinden. Habe soweit alles installiert. Laut handbuch müsste ich jetzt durch den befehl 'python setup.py build' im MySQL python ordner die verbindung herstellen können. Folgende fehlermeldung wird mir hier aber ausgegeben: 'Traceback (innermost last): File "setup.py", line 6, in ? from distutils.core import setup ImportError: No module named distutils.core' Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen? Ich bin am ende mit meinem latein! Ich habe auch leider keine Ahnung wo ich dieses distutils.core herbekommen kann, bzw. für was dieses teil sein soll. Meine Konfig findet ihr in meiner Signatur, falls benötigt. manage_add with results

Greetings all, I'm searching around and I'm trying to locate a hint as to how I can use: manage_addDocument(id=something, file=spiral, ...) where Spiral is the results of a method. I can get the contents of the method (dtml code) into the new file, but I want the resulting text that the method would generate. Can someone steer me in the right direction please? Thanks, Paz

file upload path

Hi everyone! i have an zclass with add_file methods if i want to call them form somwhere else not in the orginal zope screen they store the files direktly in the zclass folder is it possible to give them an upload path?? thx a lot soeren

think I may have posted this originally to the wrong group, my apologies for any duplicates. When I install Zope 2.4.0 on RedHat 7.1 I get the following error messages. Otherwise Zope seems to run fine. Any ideas? Hi, I read your email on NIP. Had the same problem because I was compiling with python1.5, so I installed python2.1.1 and no longer had these errors. Hopefully this works for you.
