Acquired namespaces within a python product class method?

I'm doing some work on a python product with several classes; one of those classes is a site container designed to provide a bunch of useful methods to any object that can acquire them. I have method1() which is actually used by DTML methods, etc, and method2, which is called by method1(): class foo(OFS.Folder): """container-type class)""" def method1(self): return self.method2() def method2(self): return 'something' I have a folder hierarchy like such: [sitefolder] (instance of class "foo" provides | method1 and method2 via | the product's "foo" class code) +[subfolder] (Folder that contains a TTW python method called method2) My problem is that in this case I want to create a method2 in the ODB that exists in a subfolder of this container, so that method1 (which is acquired from the parent folder of this subfolder), called in the context of subfolder, should call method2, but from the namespace of the current context, rather than self (the context of the sitefolder). The problem is that the following doesn't work: def method1(self): return method2() How would I get method1(), which resides is acquired, to use the current namespace when calling method2 from a URL like /sitefolder/subfolder/method1? I've tried a few things, but I am a bit confused... Just completely disregard my previous post. -- migrate.py is meant to run as a Zope application, not as an extension, hence calling Zope.app() caused the reference error. I fixed it up to run as an extension with some quick hacks. How do I tell when the last login was?

Hi I want to know when the last login of a Zopeuser was. I use the normal acl_users of Zope. Is there something similar to bobobase_modification_time? If not, where do I start to add such functionality? ZODB: Invalid Object Reference adding External Method

This one has me skunked Zope 2.3.3 binary on RH Linux 7.1 I have CMF-1.1 and CMFWiki installed. I'm using INSTANCE_HOME. I'm trying to migrate my old ZWiki pages using the do_site method in CMFWiki/Extensions/migrate.py When I try to add this external method, I get this traceback. We've got a form going with a MySQL database that submits things to an email address. Trying to set up this database isn't working for some reason. Last Modified Entry for Methods

Hi all, I use the bobobase property(?) to display when a document has been edited. <dtml-var bobobase_modification_time fmt="%d.%m.%Y"> But this works so far only for folders and not for methods. Or is there any opportunity to get the "last modified" entry from the index_html Method? It is listed in the standard manage-view... Martin

DTML-IN not using SIZE parameter in HDML coding.

I'm working on an HDML page to displayed on a WAP-enabled phone. Its all done in Zope. The application works great. It asks you for part of a company name to search for, submits and queries a database and returns a list of company names that match. However, it seems to be ignoring the size parameter of the dtml-in tag. So long at the list is fewer than 10 it works fine. If over that, the phone can't handle the display of the page and throws an error. Not a Zope error but one from the phone. Any idea why size would not work with HDML? Thanks Allen

cut / change letters in a string in python

Hi, how do I cut all letters in a string? The string is "6.0b". Before using float ("6.0b") I'd like to change "b" to "02" or just cut all letters. MailHost Problems

I am having a problem sending Mail out via MailHost. Any ideas?
