If your running Zope on Windows the ZJetDA is almost trivial to use. http://www.zope.org/Members/jfarr/Products/ZJetDA Unfortunatly, I also wish to run Zope on Linux and still access file in MsAccess on Netware. The ncpfs access is no problem and hope someone has some good luck with ODBC. User properties in DB with LoginManager?
by Scott Anderson 29 Jun '01

29 Jun '01

Is there a straightforward way of implementing this? I'd like to be able to set/get properties for a user in the database (PostgreSQL), much as exUserFolder does. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the numerous components to the LoginManager (or ZPatterns, I suppose), and I get the feeling that there is something in there that does this, but I'm at a loss as to where to begin. Thanks for any help you may have, -scott

You could take a look at these hints. The second one needs to be python-ized. http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw.py?req=show&file=faq04.087.htp http://www-db.stanford.edu/~cho/programming/unix-socket-faq-4.html#ss4.3 Troy -----Original Message----- From: Meilicke, Scott [mailto:scott.meilicke@intp.com] Sent: Friday, June 29, 2001 3:47 PM To: 'Dunigan, Craig'; 'Jerome Alet' Cc: zope(a)zope.org Subject: RE: [Zope] Perl daemon to restart hung Zope on RedHat As a crappy sort of hack you could use screen and then detach. That's in the background, but not as clean as a daemon. Oh well, maybe someone who knows about making a Python daemon could step in at this point and save us? I thought that was called a ZClass. I suggested to DC that we have a method for SQL in Python Products like DTMLFile(), but the difficulties of this were promptly explained to me. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Drees [mailto:drees@the-bridge.net] Sent: Friday, June 29, 2001 3:47 PM To: Zope@Zope. All previous of a document
by Sedat Yilmazer 29 Jun '01

How Can I find previous versions ( versions that was overwritten) of a document? There is the undo command that can undo an action to get you back to the previous version, so the data is somehow there. Problem is How can I reach that data without performing an undo. Might be a useful function to include on a tab in the Version object? I'll lob it in the collector def find(self): objects = self.ZopeFind(self, search_sub=1) output = [] for url, obj in objects: v = obj.locked_in_version() if v != '' and str(v) != '0': # why do some objects have 0 as a version? output.append(v, obj.absolute_url()) output.sort() output_str = 'Version | Object' for o in output: output_str = output_str + '%s | <a href="%s/manage">%s</a><br>\n' % (o[0], o[1], o[1]) return output_str Cheers. -- Andy McKay. _______________________________________________ Zope maillist - Zope(a)zope.org http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope ** No cross posts or HTML encoding! ** (Related lists - http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-announce http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-dev )
