Hi! This dtml-tree problem with "hidden" folders again: if i do <dtml-tree> <dtml-unless hidden> <dtml-var id> </dtml-unless> </dtml-tree> it will work fine for folders that do not contain subfolders. otherwise, this [+] will be displayed (what is really not acceptable). do you see any chance do arrange this with the branches_expr="objectValues(['Folder'])" call? that would be great! thanks in advance! Z SQL method results from a python script

I have a Z SQL method named "employ_data" as below: SELECT SUM(employ_hour) AS sum_hour, SUM(employ_salary+employ_hour) AS sum_total, division WHERE employ_record.month=<dtml-sqlvar month type=string> AND employ_record.year=<dtml-sqlvar year type=int> GROUP BY division This method has been tested and returns multiple rows in the result set correctly with input for month, year. I want to use this method in a python script but can't for the life of me get it to return the entire result set. Python script: results = context.employ_data(month=month, year=year) for result in results: return result.sum_hour, result.sum_total, result.division This returns only one record -- the first record in the result set. I need the entire result set. Am I misusing this or have incorrect script? Thanks, Daniel

Security problem in How-To: Caching with mod_proxy

Howdy! In the how-to I wrote about caching with mod_proxy (http://www.zope.org/Members/rbeer/caching) there is a security problem insofar that if you setup your server just like that it will be a public proxy that people can use to cover their traces when accessing other websites. To disable this behavior you could e.g. add a LocationMatch directive to your httpd.conf that denies every request that doesn't start with a slash. <LocationMatch "^[^/]"> Deny from all </LocationMatch> To try out the problem and see the effect of the fix configure your browser to use www.mysite.org port 80 as a proxy (assuming the name of your site is www.mysite.org) Then try to access a page from your browser and look at your access_log. Misterious error

I don't think I'll have a problem with trying out Squishdot at all, nor CMF. I know it's going to take a lot of sweat and cups of coffee. Kinda worried bout the clients tho. They've been spoilt by the user friendliness of the Mac and will balk at the idea that the cms they'll use is different. I'm sure that one can be developed, I'm just not sure as to which tools to utilise to build what they want. They want a superfast site, with lots of quicktime files (stored in MySQL) that's easily updateable by non techs. They'll also need a workgroup calendar solution that would enable them to work collectively from remote locations. I know that they sound like a big company, but they're aren't ... they only have 5 staff. But they'd like to use the site as their virtual office, ... so to speak. Hi, I'm pleased to announce the availability of ZShell 1.0pre1. ZShell is an external Zope method which allows you to manipulate the ZODB using standard unix shell's commands from within Zope's Management Interface in your web browser. You can download it from: http://cortex.unice.fr/~jerome/zshell/ This is a preversion of 1.0 which I'll publish in a week or two, but I would want to receive lots of feedback from people who use ZShell with SiteRoots, VirtualHostMonsters and all this sort of things. Such setups seem to make ZShell display incorrect urls and objects' paths, so the more feedback I receive the on this subject, the less buggy it will be in 1.0 final. Please send me reports which include your current configuration and "works" or "doesn't work", and of course feel free to send patches. New features are: ================= - The call command works again. - The wget command works again. - The passwd command now works. - The domains command now works. - The roles command now works. - The lrole command was renamed to lroles to be more consistent with the roles command. - The lsusers command now lists both roles and local roles. - The lsuser command was renamed to lsusers to be more consistent with the rest. - The cd command now displays the current directory correctly when an error occurs. - Security checks are now done for all commands. - DocStrings fixes. - Urls should now be OK with SiteRoots and Apache ProxyPass/ProxyReverse, but this needs heavy testing by someone who has got this sort of setup. The fact that all commands now do security checks may be of particular interest to those of you who were afraid of giving ZShell access to people: you should now be able to do it (carefully) 1.0 final will include: ======================= addrole (add a user defined role) setperms (set permissions) lsperms (list permissions) locate (search in ZCatalog) history (history of commands) suckfs (suck filesystems and put them into ZODB) the mv command will allow renaming. the mv and cp commands will accept paths in source arguments. i would like to use the Kinterbasedb-2.0 package from Alexander Kuznetsov to use a Interbase database in a Zope project. This python-module is Python DB API 2.0 compatible. What are the steps to make a database connection visible in Zope with this module ? Amanda to backup ZOPE remotely

Hi there, is it a good idea to use Amanda to backup ZOPE's physical home directory (/home/zope) while ZOPE is active? Is it critical because of changing data.fs and logfiles while Amanda is trying to do its job?
