Reading the Zope book about relational databases, (I need to do the same thing you are doing) I see that I must install MySQL DA. The Chapter about relational data bases has examples of some connection strings for PostGres. [newbie] key error

I'm attempting to create a custom skin for a CMF 1.0beta site. I'm getting a key error with an image object whose id is "about_btn". The full contents of the DTML method is this: <dtml-var about_btn> I've placed the image object in a folder called "images". What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Jason

how to pass REQUEST from DTML mthd to script?

Hello all, I'm sure this is a terribly newbie question, but couldn't concoct a useful search of the archives. Feel free to just point me to some reference if appropriate. First I'll show what does work, and then a variation on it that doesn't work. --------- Example #1 (this works - REQUEST is passed to the script): DTML Method 'foo' <form method="get" action="processForm"> ... </form> Python Script 'processForm' (parameter list = REQUEST) ... do something with REQUEST ... ---------- Example #2 (doesn't work - REQUEST isn't passed to script) DTML Method 'foo' <form method="get" action="processFormResponse"> ... </form> DTML Method 'processFormResponse' <dtml-call processForm> Python Script 'processForm' (parameter list = REQUEST) ... do something with REQUEST... With this sequence, I get an error that indicates REQUEST is not being passed to the script. Questions: 1. In example #2, how can I make REQUEST get passed to script automatically, as it is in example #1? 2. In example #2, how can I explicitly pass the REQUEST object from the DTML method 'processFormResponse' to Python script 'processForm' using <dtml-call>? Thomas, what happens when you explicitly request a management page: http://localhost:8080/index_html/manage_main ? If you get index_html, then we have a permissions problem, possible domain related, If you get a management window, then I'm inclined to say that your browser is caching something (then again, I've been wrong an aweful lot today :) Troy -----Original Message----- From: Thomas B. Now when I try to use any management screens, I get the default index_html pages instead. So I can't change anything or develop content. This works almost perfectly. There is one small correction, though: the _prepend method you give prevents regular registration from any later object, because self._append is defined as self._objects.append earlier on; this means that further _append() calls will append to the wrong sequence. A more correct version is: def _prepend(self, object): self._objects[0:0] = [object] Thanks again, Shai.

Folderish documents

I'm hacking on ZWiki, trying to create a subclass of the ZWikiPage which acts as a folder which can contain other ZWikiPages. Much of the work for this product is done. It behaves folderish, items can be added, management tabs appear . . . but the contents of the folder don't appear. Instead, I get a message saying something like: 'There are no items in <string>' even if contents are a) added and b) viewable. I really don't know what could be causing this, whether the error is in me, ZWiki, or OFS. I don't receive any errors, but this contents problem has bugged me for days, and I don't have any leads on a solution. What additional information can I provide? Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks.
