Xron: installation problem

Hi! when i take the Xron (v0.0.9) file, i untar and place it into the zope directory. I restart Zope and i give my username and password but after i can't see the windows manager.... i'll see the Xron's files and i think that files can't be compiled.... I've been installed python 1.5.2, python-devel, and i use the Zope zserver. If somebody know how i can do to succeed to install it. thanx pascal

401 Error with WebDAV and GoLive on 2.3.0 (actually, 2.3.0-4/Debi an)

While I realize this might be a Debian packaging issue, I wanted to see if anybody has had this problem: GoLive can't synchronize (write-over) a document; I get a 401 Error. I don't have this problem with a 2.3.0 Solaris install or a 2.2.1 install on my development (Linux) box, so I assume that either: a hotfix applied as part of the Debian package caused this problem or GoLive doesn't like the non-standard port (9673). I adjusted the port to 8080 when starting zope, and still no Luck, so I don't think it is GoLive. So, perhaps, it seems that either a security hotfix applied broke the WebDAV connectivity, or there is something non-standard about the Debian packages that is making this not work... Anyone else out there having this problem, with the Debian packages or otherwise? Any ideas as to what might be going on? Hello... I am trying to assign a value to a variable, but I`m having problems with it. Dear all, I've got a Zope site that has an interface. People can via the interface delete real zope objects if they know the password. They don't have to "/manage", they just call DTML Method that has this in it. <dtml-call "manage_delObjects('objectid')"> If they previously haven't logged into the Zope realm, they have to do that naturally if they come across this DTML. Fine. But If I enclose this in a <dtml-try> tag like this: <dtml-try> <dtml-call "manage_delObjects('objectid')"> <dtml-except> bad day! </dtml-try> That catches all errors even the not-so-object-error: "the user isn't authenticated"! So, what happens is that if I enclose it with a <dtml-try> tag, Zope does not challange the user to log in. How can I get both ways? This is one solution: <dtml-if "'Manager' in AUTHENTICATED_USER.getRoles()"> <dtml-call "manage_delObjects('objectid')"> <dtml-else> <dtml-try> <dtml-call "manage_delObjects('objectid')"> <dtml-except> bad day! </dtml-try> </dtml-if> But that isn't very good looking and not exactly what I want. Hi all, http://www.zope.org/Products/bsddb3Storage is a Zope storage making use of Sleepycat's BerkeleyDB 3.2.X which is nonundoing and "packless".
