How to check for a folder's existence and create it if it doesn't exist?

I'm trying create a method to go through a site and create certain folders if they don't already exist. I can check for the existence of the folders with this: <dtml-in expr="objectValues('Folder')"> <dtml-if "id=='2001'"> It matches<p> </dtml-if> </dtml-in> But how do I craft the "else" to create the folder? Obviously, if I throw the <dtml-else> inside the "in" loop, it'll throw itself into the "else" action for every iteration where it doesn't find the named folder. -- Chris Muldrow, muldrow(a)mac.com

Bug Report : Problems with Pictures

I ran into a problem with uploading images into existing image objects. I have looked in the changes list for version 2.3.1beta but didn't see this problem listed. System Information I am running Zope 2.3.0 on Windows 2000. I uploaded a picture and called it 55Ford. (a jpg file) I changed the picture and uploaded the changes. I could not view the changed picture. I tired again thinking this is strange and still view showed the OLD (original) image. I delete the image object from zope and recreated it with the same name. I still saw the OLD (original) image! I create an image with a different name 55Ford2 and uploaded it and was able to view the EDITED image. Even stranger when I renamed the 55Ford2 object 55Ford and viewed it I saw the old image and when I renamed it back to 55Ford2 and viewed it I saw the new edited image. Please take a look. "dtml-with" is a tool for putting names on the namespace stack, which is critical for DTML, since the namespace stack is the source of all names. Python, on the other hand, doesn't use DTML namespaces, although it can manipulate them like any other data structure. It doesn't need them, since it can easily create a local variable. Example: <dtml-with expr="foo.bar.controller()"><dtml-var x><dtml-var y></dtml-with> This really means "put 'foo.bar.controller()' on the namespace stack, ask the namespace stack for 'x' and 'y', then pop the stack, but the person who wrote it was probably thinking "get 'x' and 'y' from foo.bar.controller()". Python script and dtml-with

I'm not explicitly having a problem, but I would like an explanation. I understand the usefullness of dtml-with in dtml. I was converting some dtml methods to python scripts and I ran across a dtml-with. Is there an equivalent for python scripts? If so, great. If not, please explain why it is not needed.
