I just wanted to share how we're using Zope & WebDAV: We use it to share some .pdf, .html, and .doc files for procedures and documentation within my department. I have installed the FileFolder Product, which allows easy FTP & WebDAV sharing of file objects. It works great. It is especially easy in Windows 2000. Error Value: Out of memory while compressing data

Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: MemoryError Error Value: Out of memory while compressing data I get this when I try to add a SQUISHDOT site and on the unix box I get the following message UNIX socket: /usr/local/zope/var/pcgi.soc no mem for new parser I am using Zope 2.3.1b1, Python2.0 on freebsd4.2 Any ideas, would the problem be with SQUISHDOT or Zope Thanks Norman

OT: Using images to post a form

Hi all, A slight off-topic request. I want to replace buttons with images to post a form (for more than just cosmetic reasons), does anyone know how it would be done? Can something like an onClick=document.Form.submit() work here and tell zope to read the request? Thanks in advance, Paul Zwarts

However, suppose I have a method like: id: add_dummy_table create table <dtml-var table_name> ( dummy INTEGER ) Now, if I call it in the form <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-call expr="add_dummy_table(table_name='test')"> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> It works as well. Now my question is, is it just a question of personal style, or there is a more subtle advantage in pushing values in the REQUEST object? Thanks and regards Stefano

Voilà, I discovered zope, and was wondering how this webdav stuff works. read that it was possible to use webdav with zope, and with ie 5+ and ms office 2000, and some others clients. Nichts spricht gegen www.zope.de , doch leider habe ich das Gefühl, dass sich die Plattform www.zope.de nicht weiterentwickelt. www.pythonia.de soll mehr als nur ein Forum werden, was mir da vorschwebt steht ja auf der ersten Seite und im ersten Beitrag des Forums. Ich denke, dass Zope mehr als nur Technologie ist. Zope ist auch Philosophie, und die muss gelebt werden können, damit sich die Technologie durchsetzen kann. Ich möchte mit www.pythonia.de eine Plattform schaffen, über die sowohl technische als auch betriebswirtschaftliche Themen diskutiert werden können. Das bedeutet aber auch, dass die Plattform über ein Forum hinaus wächst und die Community in Entwicklungsprozesse mit einbezieht. Leider nutzt www.zope.de meines Erachtens nicht alle Möglichkeiten von Zope aus, um wie auf Zope.org die Mitgestaltung von Themen durch Mitglieder EINFACH zu ermöglichen. Programmierer kann man leicht von Zope überzeugen, doch die treffen leider nicht immer die Entscheidungen. Daher ist es wichtig auch "Entscheidern" den betriebswirtschaftlichen Nutzen von Zope zu verdeutlichen. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass dies bisher vernachlässigt wurde und möchte mit www.pythonia.de eine Änderung herbeiführen. (www.pythonia.de soll einfach etwas bunter werden!) Auch ich freue mich über jede Zusammenarbeit :-) www.pythonia.de wird mehr als nur Forum! Gruß Joris PS: zope.de ist auch für mich eine der wichtigsten Quelle zum Thema Zope

ZDatabaseDiagram shows the structure and relations between tables of your database based on referential integrity definitions. So you get a quick view over tables views and column definitions. wampum example

Good evening everyone, I've searched the web and have looked at the examples provided with the wampum product but cannot find a real world example. Is there anyone out there that is using this product and can offer some help. The only thing I need to know is how one gets the results back after making a call to the processorder method.
