Re: [Zope] set listen ip addr

Hi On my server I have the same setup. To start Zope on a specific IP address I edit the start script in the zope directory and change the z2.py line so that it reads something like z2.py -a 192.168.0.15 -w 80 -f 8021 "$@" This takes only the 0.15 address and runs the web server on port 80 and the ftp server on port 8021 Ian

RE: [Zope] Nested dtml-with issue....
by Schmidt, Allen J. 13 Feb '01

Maybe so...but that is not the issue at this point. The way it is below works well...as long as the dates are hardcoded. I need date VARIABLES to replace the hardcoded values there now. I have tried: <dtml-let year="_.str(ZopeTime().year())"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('yearVariable',ZopeTime().year())"> using several techniques and dropping the variable name where the dates are and I always get key errors. I will try your suggestion and one earlier about using ZCatalogs, but it would really help to get this working now until then. Thanks!!! -----Original Message----- From: Dieter Maurer To: Schmidt, Allen J. Cc: 'zope(a)zope.org' Sent: 2/13/2001 3:03 PM Subject: Re: [Zope] Nested dtml-with issue.... This method probably will use a "dtml-in" to iterate over the folders content. Then you can use "<dtml-with sequence-item"> to open up the current folder. Dieter

Problem w/ MySQL aggregate functions
by Dwayne Morrison 13 Feb '01

13 Feb '01

Hi, I upgraded to Zope 2.3.0 and am having problems with SQL aggregate functions. Solaris 2.7 Zope 2.3.0 Python 2.0 MySQL-python-0.3.2 ZMySQLDA-2.0.4 After upgrading to 2.3.0, I upgraded to Python 2.0 to get rid of the int vs. long issue which caused all int column values to have an 'L' appended to them. Standard queries now work fine, but any SQL aggregate functions (i.e., sum, count, min, max, avg) return a 500 error. No hints printed to the console and nothing in the log. Aggregate functions work fine at the Python command line (import _mysql, etc.). I traced a query from through ZMySQLDA and it appears to be returning the correct result. In Connection.py, I traced the manage_test method through to the end and things seem to go bad at this statement: report=apply(report,(self,REQUEST),{self.id:result}) Can anyone help me figure out how to go about debugging this? Thanks, Dwayne Morrison dcmorrison(a)tidewater.net

Zope and mySQL
by glinds - Greg Lindstrom 13 Feb '01

13 Feb '01

I am wanting to run Zope on Windows 2000 "Professional" to connect to a mySQL database. I have the database created and populated, but I cannot figure out how to access it via Zope (I see a Zope Gadfly database connection, but that's not the same thing, is it?). Can someone tell me "what button to push"?. Thanks! How do you find contents of the parent?
by complaw＠hal-pc.org 13 Feb '01

13 Feb '01

I'm trying to set up a navigation panel at the left of my web pages in Zope. I don't have any trouble getting the content of the current level. However, it would be more helpful if I got the content (folders, in particular) of the _parent_ folder. Is there a way to do that? Thanks in advance, Ron ./.

calling a python script from a dtml method
by 227709N＠knotes.kodak.com 13 Feb '01

13 Feb '01

From: D Blanding Hello- I'm new to Zope... (have read the Zope Book) and have used Python. For my first Zope project, I'm building a web application that stores and retrieves stuff from the Z-Gadfly RDB. I have successfully written a python script which calls a zsql method which selects all the records of my table. (The table is not very big.) The python script then converts each record to a list (adding a couple of fields and doing some arithmetic, etc.) then appends all these lists together into one big list. The python script takes no arguments. Now I want to display the data in a table. So I plan to call the python script from a dtml method which will present the data. But I don't know how to do this. Can anyone give me advice on how to do this? Also, once I succeed in calling the python script, I'm not sure how I will parse a list of lists in dtml. I have seen examples using: <dtml-in> <dtml-sequence-item> </dtml-in> to parse lists but how do I read through a list of lists? Doug Blanding doug.blanding(a)kodak.com
