You could perhaps add a localfs folder or an ExtFile calling the manage_add method of such classes. I also considered them for my solution, but actually I didn't use them because I don't want to add more extra dependencies to my Product and my applet doesn't change. In case it changes some day, then I will have to think about an update method, but I think it isn't difficult to do it.

Hi Raja, some few month ago, I was trying to do the same: Store a java applet class on the file system and load it dynamically from each instance of my product, but I didn't succeeded. You can see my attempt on: http://mail.zope.org/pipermail/zope/2004-May/149813.html Anyway, I solved it storing the java applet on the Zope DB when initializing my product. The code is attached to the message. After adding the file to the Zope DB, then you can use its path on the <applet> tag and it should work. Adding to Zsql method result object

I have a query returning data from the zsql method. How can I append to the results object that I receive. Lets say I select a,b,c from mytable I get a results object . from my use/reading of this it is a list of dictionaries ... I thought that I could do this to append a new row myrow = dict([('a','1'),('b','2'),('c','3')]) aData=aData,myrow But alas I get an error: AttributeError: 'tuple' object has no attribute 'dictionaries' Could anyone shed some light on this please, not so much the error as I understand that ... Ops, I realiced that the function called is missing. Need to programmatically change image content

Hello, I need to programmatically replace the 'content' (e.g. the image file data, if I grok correctly) of an Image object with new data via file upload from web form. I imagine I could just delete the existing object and then add the new one... Lost the path to my DTMLFile in my product

Hello, I've written a python product that loads DTML pages from a /dtml folder in my product... works fine. When I moved my environment to Linux, Zope is still looking on my old heirarchy. get_transaction().commit() exceptions

Hi, We are using MailManager from logicalware (http://mailmanager.sourceforge.net/) This application stores its data as objects in the ZODB. A seperate thread checks the email server and saves new tickets (emails) to the ZODB. This mail-checking thread somtimes gets ConflictError at the call to get_transaction().commit(). This exception goes unhandled and the mail-checking thread dies. This means that the product will still work - it just won't retreive any email messages. Is it a good idea to try and catch this exception? If so what should we do with it? will catching it stop the mail-checking thread from dying? zope generating page with old data

Hello zopistas, I have a page, that executes a job which calculates some numbers and then displays the resulting data in a table. The time of the calculation is recorded for each record in the db with a timestamp. Sometimes zope displays the timestamp of the previous calculation, mostly that of the actual calculation, which would be right. What can cause Zope to display the timestamp of the previous calculation.
