Shedule or Calendar under Zope?

Zope (connection online)

Hi Barbara, Yes, that online thing is a pain. It did not used to do that (I am sure some of the real smart Zope folks can tell you why...). Anyway, once you get Zope going on a Win PC, you can disconnect the Internet connection and keep using it as "localhost". Here's the problem, when I start Zope, it keeps forcing me to connect to the Net. (I'm running Win98, BTW). Is there any way to run ZServer without being connected to the net? And how easy is it to transfer Zope files created on a Windows machine to a Solaris website? Or am I stuck hanging online all the time I'm working with Zope? Thanks in advance! Batch import of Images to Zope ?

I have some images on a file system that are updated daily. I need to make it easy for a folder manager to import them in Zope. Getting id of sequence-item

Hi. Here's some code to create a list of hyperlinks, one for each item in a folder. It works ok. <dtml-var standard_html_header> <UL> <dtml-in "getParentNode().objectItems()"> <LI> <A HREF="<dtml-var id>"> <dtml-var title_or_id spacify capitalize> </A> </LI> </dtml-in> </UL> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> The problem is I don't really want to list all the items in a folder. I want to screen index_html and acl_users, in particular. How can I do this? I can't seem to get any of these to work: <dtml-if "id != index_html"> . . <dtml-if "_['sequence-item'] != index_html"> ... . . <dtml-if "_['sequence-item'].id != index_html"> ... . . Structured Text: How to end lists??

Hi, I have a problem with structured text. I am doing a list with several paragraphs starting with "*", after which another paragraph follows, in this case a named link starting with ".. [F1]" When Zope renders the page, it does not correctly close the list, it includes the following paragraph in the <li>-tag, but closes the list before the standard_footer_html Is there a way to tell Zope to close a list?? I tried indenting the list a level more than the surrounding text but that did not help. The way Zope deals with lists in structured text is a bit strange... every list-entry becomes enclosed by <p></p>'s, that needs much room to render... I guess there should be a way to format this. It only affects EFS--local backup files are stil made. Emacs was made to be able to customize behavior by setting variables. I'm very interested in this too, eg for tracking ZWiki page revisions. I'm willing to help work on it if anyone comes up with a good approach.. ? My vague plan #1 was to look for a python cvs module, eg whatever ViewCVS uses, and build a zope product that maps a cvs repository into the object namespace, as localfs does with files. Or, vague ambitious plan #2: build a real cvs server that stores its data in ZODB. I expect someone out there has thought more deeply about this - please comment. -Simon
