1. I use Gadfly every day. Store data, find, sort my data. Objets ares powerfull but not adapted to all my work. SQL is so simple sometimes that I can't resist. 2.Very, very, my friend. So easy to manage. Create and manage database with PostGresSQL is not so easy for small less secure database ... 3. For a good part, yes. Cause I worked with it before 4. Yes, please 5. Zope database format for Zope 2.0

Hi all. We've been working out whether or not the final release of Zope 2.0 should try to support the older .bbb database format as well as the new ZODB3 format. There are a number of technical, backward-compatibility, documentation and support problems associated with trying to support the old format, so I am leaning toward deciding that the 2.0 final release will only use ZODB3 format, and that: a) users with current dbs can run a simple command line tool to create a converted ZODB3 file from your existing Data.bbb or b) we could possibly provide some kind of startup logic in Zope2.0 that would automagically convert your existing .bbb file to a ZODB3 .fs file, if all it was able to find is an old-format file at startup. Before making a final decision though, I wanted to throw this out to the community for comment, to make sure that there are not problems with this approach that we haven't considered... ZClass in a ZClass error

I'm a new Zoper (Zopee???), so this may (probably is) just a mistake in use, but I can't seem to add a ZClass inside of (on the methods page) another ZClass. Nice to know someone's using it. Just comment out the lines in pcgifile.py that are attempting to import from cgi_module_publisher -- it's been removed from the latest version: http://starship.python.net/crew/jbauer/persistcgi/pcgifile/pcgifile.py Sorry for the confusion. -Jeff Bauer P.S. zope2+netscape security?

I am running a local 127.0.0.1 Zope2 under win9x. Using netscape I log in as manager. I start another (simultaneous) copy of netscape and I find I have the same permissions as the logged in browser. If I use IE as the second browser I don't. I assume that this is a problem with netscape. -- Robin Becker

Calendar Code Example

George, I use the Calendar in conjunction with the Catalog to give the people a kind of daily-planner. The same page is accessed by everyone, and based on who is logged in it shows their stuff. It turns the links in month mode red if they have anyhting scheduled on that day. Also, it allows me to test the product against multiple databases more simply (I only need to install one other DBMS to get more than 1). And a database using product can then be installed anywhere, even at sites that haven't installed a native DBMS. Multiple selection properties in Zclass Propertysheets

Ok I've gotten this far: I create a lines type property in the 'Properties' tab of the product, and add a few entries to it. When creating the selection type property in the ZClasses propertysheet, I specify the lines type variable name as the value. This works insofar as now the propertysheet displays the options defined in the lines property as a dropdown form element, but it does not work correctly in the propertysheet of an instance. Am I putting the lines property in the wrong place, or is this a bug? Michael Bernstein.
