Searching and only one result.

Hi everyone, I have Made a ZClass where people can add news item´s to the site. Now I added a property to the catalog when they add the news item that gets the first letter of the person who wrote the article. Now I have a search page where people can search for articles on the name of the one who wrote the article. But now the results show the same name twice if one person has written multiple articles. How can I make sure the results will only show the name of this peron once? for instance: Albert wrote 2 articles and Annie 3 a person on the site searches for the A. Now it will give Annie Annie Annie Albert Albert But the thing I want to do is that it will do this: Annie (3) click here to see all annies ........ Albert (2) click......... Can any of you help me with this? Sure hope so!! James

I would look in ObjecManager.py / manage_main() But try the simple things first. pdf files dont work ??

hello all i've a python product class which inherits from "file" now if i upload a few pdf files (~1MB) and i try to view them with the browser and this doesnt work with all instances the browser loads something but it doesnt start acrobat reader, it displays an empty window i set the content_type to "application/pdf" i read somewhere that the id has to end with .pdf - so that acrobat checks the file - but this wasnt the problem is it possible, that the files are too big or corrupted ?? because sometimes it works there is only a problem with .pdf files - with others like word files it works just fine even if the file is 800kb big. would it be better to store such files in the filesystem instead in zodb ?? please help - thanks in advance - bernd

The first option in yout manage_options will automatically be selected as the first tab in the list. Appreciation for new introductionary texts on Zope main page

I would like to express my apprecation for the stories that start to appear on on the Zope website. They are in the lower right corner of http://www.zope.org. At the moment there is a really very readable piece about structured text, and a few "moments" a go there was a piece about programming the ZODB and Page Templates. I eat these kind of documentation. It gives me the chance to gradually become better in a variety of subjects without a huge effort. Thank you very much. problems creating a Contents management tab

i have a python product and i am trying to create a contents management tab. the product inherits from ObjectManager and the module imports ObjectManager from OFS.ObjectManager these lines of code do not work... manage_options = ({'label':'Contents','action':'manage_main'}, {'label':'Edit','action':'editForm'}, {'label':'View','action':''},)+RoleManager.manage_options\ +Item.manage_options manage_main = ObjectManager.manage_main i get this error: Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: 'string' object has no attribute 'has_key' can anyone help? thank you in advance. -bob

Bill Besides all the legalese which, of course applies here and can or can-not be enforced, I am talking about "closed source" here, this is the scenario: I do not want other branches/offices that do have Zope installed and due to the current requirements have manage access (they have their own in-house development) to see our code. The need is to put our code in those Zope's but we don't want them to see, access or modify the code. Of course, pure python (or "C" for that matter) is a possible answer but my question goes directly on how to keep code within the Zope environment, closed. I am sure many people are interested in this topic. I also know it is kinda contradictory with the overall Zope concept but, the terms are what I just described. How would you solve it ? exUserFolder & form-based login

Please can someone tell me how to get exUserFolder to perform form-based login if a user attempts to access a protected resource? At present I can only get it to do a popup. I can do form-based login _explicitly_ with it (ie if user clicks on a "log in" link), but I need this implicit behaviour too. Any tips?
