hi! Yes, I've followed the thread about calling dtml methods, but I couldn't get very much out of it concerning my following problem (maybe I should read it again?). I have a similar problem, but my dtml is created dynamically: folder "sayhello/": dtml method "template": ----------------------------------- <dtml-var standard_html> <h3>$GREETING$</h3> $INTRODUCTION$ <dtml-var standard_html_footer> python script "personalize" (only parameter: "document") ----------------------------------- from string import replace personalized = getattr(context, document).document_src() personalized = replace(personalized, '$GREETING$', 'this is the greeting') personalized = replace(personalized, '$INTRODUCTION$', 'this is the introduction') return personalized (of course the strings will be replaced by calls like "getGreeting", "getIntroduction" :-) just testing right now) dtml method "index_html" ----------------------------------- <dtml-var "personalize('template')"> Yes, I could do the dollar sign stuff with dtml variables, but I don't want the editor to be able to use dtml in general, just a couple of "variables" provided by me. So I invented some names and give him the opportunity to include some simple texts/numbers that might be useful inside his text. (-> he can edit "template") Of course this returns crap: The python script takes the raw, unrendered dtml source, replaces a few strings, and returns that unrendered source. "Dynamically created DTML" means I want to render the document_src *after* replacing. I understand that I could create an external method contatining something like from OFS.DocumentTemplate.DT_HTML import HTML def renderDTML(DTML, namespace=None, **kw): ob = HTML(DTML) return ob(namespace, kw=kw) (which I would do if totally necessary), but since I'm using an INSTANCE_HOME, I don't know how do the import correctly, I always get an error when trying to add an external method containing the above, that sits in my "Extensions" directory.

I am trying to add build a small site using Zope that will have the option of viewing a text only version as well. I have created a standard_html_header which also contains objects for the site logo and navigation information. These are the only graphics on the site. My question is, do I need to create a separate header for the text version, or is there a way that Zope can determine what page is calling the header and then insert the proper object? ie: index_text_html is calling standard_html_header so "text_logo" and "text_navbar" gets called. Or, index_html is calling the standard_html_header so "graphic_logo" and "graphic_navbar" gets called. I'm not real good at explaing things, I hope you can understand all of this;-) Thanks, Michael

hey there, I've experienced a couple of times the following problem: 1. Install someProduct and restart zope 2. Create an empty folder /foo 3. Create an instance fo someProduct as /foo/bar 4. Delete /foo/bar 5. Uninstall someProduct and restart zope 6. Go to /foo and I get an error about someProduct not being found. the most recent product I've tried where this occurs is exUserFolder. you can follow the steps 1,2,3&4 and export folder /foo as XML and you will see a lot of references to exUserFolder remain there (and nope, it's not because the zodb hasn't been packed)...something weird goes on there. But I remember this happening before with some other products too (I cant recall which though) are there any destructors or anything at all that should be created so this wont happen ? Thanks alex

Hi group, I have just installed ImageMagick, I want to use it in zope to resize and mutate uploaded pictures for a CMS. But I do not really know where to start, and if i got everything i need to. I am pretty new to python and i just want to prevent me from getting frustrated trying thing the wrong way. My question: Can someone point me to some examples for using Imagemagick with zope, maybe some goog tips and what i need to get it running? I am using zope 2.4.1, Python 2.1, SuSE 7.2, Imagemagick 5.3.9. Thanks in advance, Sebastian Kügler

Did you changed the "Add list name" field in your factory and is it different from your meta-type ? There is a bug in the way meta-type are registred and the security mechanism for copy/paste. Put in sync again your meta_type,Add list name and see if it solves the problem. Didier.

Help for integration of E-shop

Hello, I have been working on integrating a web shop in our zope site. We are using a payment gateway called "Cashcow" and it works great. At least it registers the orders and payments :-))) It works this way: User enter his/hers date in a html form. (including cart number etc). The html form calls the payment gateway with the correct parameters. If the card was accepted the shop returns one page (you define this in the mangement interface). If there were errors, it returns another page. Now on this 'ok_page' I want to do some things if everything went ok (creation of a zope 'Order' object for instance). But ... this gateway only returns the REQUEST variables that it is set up to in the system (not something you can configure). So I cannot parse the logged_in user's username. And at the 'ok_page' it shows, no user is logged in. So my question is: Are there anybody else out there who has a payment gateway that works something like described above and know a different workaround ?? TIA, Gitte Wange

Greetings, If anyone has experience with this error before, could you possibly steer me in a direction: 2001-09-18T10:26:38 ERROR(200) ZODB Couldn't load state for '\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00 \x18' Traceback (innermost last): File /var/Zope240/lib/python/ZODB/Connection.py, line 519, in setstate AttributeError: 'None' object has no attribute 'load' My Zope 240 on RH7.1 with Python2.1.1 restarts often, and the trick about -without-pymalloc didn't seem to help. The above traceback I get most of the time when it restarts (not always). Many thanks for any help, Paul Zwarts
