Hi: I have a big problem. I have a folder named A. A contains a ZSQL Method. Inside A exists B, and inside B is C. C contains several products. One of this products inside C needs call method X in other product also inside C. Well, this X method needs reference to the ZSQL Method in A. >From url I call this X method and all works ok, but when I try to execute the other products method's that references X it says non exist ZSQL Method... then I supposse I have lost the acquisition wrapper... How I can access the A ZSQL Method from X? Training My Users

Hello, I'm going to be teaching a course to get some people started using Zope. Their idea of web publishing is creating a file with DreamWeaver and dragging it to some network folder. I'm planning on covering completely static sites using MS Web Folders. Has anyone had to deal with people in a similar situation? I would like users to be able to drag and drop a file and have it take on the a standard look either header and footer or from a template, but I don't want them to have to add any tags or attributes to their code. Using GPL'd modules with Zope?

Hello, I am a bit confused on how to use GPL'd modules, like Xron, with the other non-copyleft licenses like BSD and ZPL. Do i have to make my whole Zope installation copyleft if I use a GPL'd module. Or, Is it just that single module that is copyleft and I can retain ownership of my own code? changing LocalFS content type

I have some data that was uploaded to a LocalFS (Local File System) dir and the type of the code was incorrectly specified as application/octet-stream when it should be text/plain. I went into the manager interface and changed the 'Content Type' field and got no errors, but when I go back and look I see that it is still application/octet-stream. Is this a bug in bug in LocalFS? Does anyone know how if it is possible to change the content type of an LocalFS file? The file was uploaded to the zope server LocalFS dir using some client java code that incorrectly specified the content type. [HELP] Zope & WebDAV problem

Hello, I have a problem using Zope 2.4.4 b1, Webdav and Offfice 2000. In fact, a can browse my site via WEBDAV, no problem. But, when i open a document (by double-click), a MS Word document for example, it's openned in Read-only mode. So, i can't save my modifications. I saw that this problem should be solved since Zope 2.4.4 b1. Can anyone help me ? Thanks in advance Frederic. PS : Excuse my english.

newbie: python scripts and records

Hi all, I'm learning python. If I do: class Foo: pass bar = Foo() bar.baz = 1 in order to create a record I get an "attribute-less object" error from zope, but it works right on the python interpreter. Is there a way to create records (the same type of record I get from forms with :record) from a python script? Automatic Catologging problems

Hi all, Bit of a newbie problem, I am trying to learn how to auto catalog a ZCatalog. I have made a Z Class with a CatalogPathAware base, however when i add instances of the product(to theroot folder), they do not show up in the catalog (also in the root folder). I have set the metadata and indexes to the properties of my product. I have also created a very simple product in python that inherits CatalogAware from CatalogPathAwareness and use the reindex_object() method in the edit method of the product class. Once again all works fine except for adding iteslf to the catalog even when it is changed. Is there something more I need to do? Maybe I have missed a step when creating my Z Catalog? 'lo, another caching question: I use a ram cache manager for a fairly simple page template with is independent of any variables (eg authenticated or not) in de properties-tab of the ram cache manager there are no REQUEST-variables used, but in the cache statistics 5 entries (5 misses) are reported for my simple page template this is strange because the pt is independent of variables enlighten me plz thx, ronny __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? caching: ram + acc. http cache manager ?

Hi, Why isn't it possible to use a ram cache manager and a http cache manager on the same object? Both have different functions (first to cache locally, second to cache externally).
