Python question

I need a python script that will return the first folder in the hierarchy above the current object. I have got this far, but it looks like content_type isn't the property I need. Can anyone help me out? Also, is there somewhere I can find a reference for this sort of thing so I don't have to keep posting to the list? p = context.aq_parent while p.content_type != "Folder": p = p.aq_parent return p

No. Same end would be achieved with rsync and a cron job. Either one works; I'm just a bit paranoid to use NFS for a software home on a clustered box, unless one was really confident in their NFS server cluster...that's why I thought of Intermezzo, but rsync is likely a good lighter-weight alternative even to that... I have made a zsql method that needs a parameter to show the data. PHParser released

hello, today i've released PHParser. It gives you the chance to reuse your old scripts from the days before you experienced ZOPE and Python. It's a little bit like the PHPDocument-Product. Unfortunately the PHPDocument-Product seems to be a little "hacky" & unmaintained, so I decided to reinvent the wheel in order to get a clean and stable product for production environments. PHParser is a ZOPE-Product which is based heavily on the DTML-Document-Class. A PHParser will give you all the features of a DTML-Document + all the features of PHP. Additionally you can mix DTML into your PHP-Code. http://www.zope.org/Members/mjablonski/PHParser Maybe someone wants to use it in order to save some time and money... In theory, at least on Linux, Intermezzo might be more appropriate for syncing code in the Zope software home. We plan on doing this with our next Zope setup, with the idea that the software homes stay synced when we do a cvs update of the code on our production servers, but they are still independent and local. Installing ZMySQLDA on Windows

Hi all! I want to have access to some MySQL databases from Zope, so I've tried to install ZMySQLDa, but it's just been impossible! First I have tried to follow the instructions in http://www.zope.org/Members/philh/mysql which are very easy, but some files mentioned in the how-to aren't there, so I've had to get them from somewhere else. After doing the installation, I got an error. Anyway, the how-to is about ZMySQLDA 1.1.3, which I think is quite old. Then I've tried to follow the instructions in http://www.zope.org/Members/alanpog/zmysqlda_steps , which are for Unix, but anyway it says you have to install MySQLdb, which is not there. I found it somewhere else in a windows binary distribution, but I couldn't finish the installation. So, please, has anyone got some easy instructions to install ZMySQLDA on Windows, and all the necessary files, and these in binary distribution, without having to compile them? I'm desperate! Instance from my Zclass have permission problem

Dear list, I create a product form WMI, and have a Python to call ZSQL Method Inside methods folder. But I can call the Python Script when I am in this Zclass folder, but couldn't call it from the Instance which inherited from this Zclass. I did anything wrong ?
