Searching Multiple Fields in ZCatalog

I'm sure this has been covered, but I can't find an answer. I need to perform a search across three different fields in my zcatalog. Currently, the only way I can see to do this is with three distinct form fields. I wish to have my users enter their query in only one form field, and still search each of the three zcatalog indices. Documentation tool

Hi all, Does anyone know if a tool based on zope exists that would let me manage online documentation interactively? Basically what I'm looking for is a package that allows me to post a table of contents and the whole set of documentation (these would be architecture and design documents for our products). I'd like the ability to add comments at the bottom of the page like some of the web-sites I've seen (I'm sure that zope has an example somewhere, but I'm thinking of something like http://www.zend.com/zend/art/intro.php) I don't need a doc generator from the code, but that would be a plus. I'd like to be able to post our architecture and design documents on-line so that developers can browse it and use it as a resource and add comments so that changes to the design can be captured here. Complete, interactive, design documents is basically what I'm looking for. Does such a thing exist? Or is there something that gets me part of the way there? Cheers, Craig -- Craig L. [HELP] CookId and FTP upload problem

Hello, Like many others, in order to let user publish content without taking care of the "Id", i use a method "cookId" in order to generate a valid object's id from a "Title". Exemple : When an user upload the file "Fr�d Reunion.doc" "cookId" generates the id : "FredReunion.doc" ==> Ok. It's work fine, but i got a problem with FTP acces when an user "drag and drop" a folder named "Fred Folder" and it's content. The FTP log is : MKD "Fred Folder" CWD "Fred Folder" ==> 550 No such directory. Cause the "Fred Folder" doesn't exist, it's "FredFolder". So, the content of the folder is not uploaded. I found in the file "\Zope\ZServer\FTPServer.py", the method : def cmd_cwd (self, line): 'change working directory' response=make_response(self, self.cwd_completion, self._join_paths(self.path,line[1])) request=FTPRequest(line[1],'CWD',self,response) handle(self.module,request,response) Can anybody help me, is there a way to patch this method ? webdav 500 Internal Server Error

I am having a problem with webdav and getting that error. I do a cd into a regular zope folder that has about 5 objects that I have written as python products and all inherit from ObjectManager however while I can cd into that folder containing them if I do an ls I get a 500 Internal Server Error. I have enabled STUPID_LOG_FILE, debug mode etc but I don't get tracebacks anywhere so I am not sure where to look to find this problem. I am fairly sure the error is in my code somewhere but am not sure where to look. In order to make this issue more complex if I use ftp I can do an ls in the folder just fine and I can do into the objects that it contains without problems. Newbie Question: Ordering items within a folder based on a property

Everyone: I know that this has come up over and over on the list, I just still can't get a handle on it. If I could get some good information from the list, I would like to put together a HOW-TO on this, because I think it's a common goal. I have folders that contain folders and other objects. I want to build a menu along the lefthand-side that shows all the folders with an attribute 'publish' defined, and, we'll show their 'nickname' or 'displayname' properties in place of 'title_or_id' if those are defined. So far, this is easy. However, we also want to arbitrarily sort the folders and while the below code works, it doesn't do exactly what I want. We define an integer property 'sort_value', then sort based on sort_value and alternatively title_or_id. This works, sort of: id sort_value Folder1 (100) Folder2 (200) Folder3 (300) FolderA (not defined) FolderB (1) FolderC (2) The folders in Folder3 will be sorted as FolderB (1) FolderC (2) FolderA (300) <--- inherited from Folder3 above. This is not awful, but I know it's not the right way to do things. How can I improve it? Thanks to everyone involved with Zope!
