Hello list, I couldn't find a solution on the list, although there are many postings with the same subject... So here it is: I want to build my own list of sub-objects of a folder in order to sort some of them out of my list. What I'm doing is (in a DTML method!): [snip...] <dtml-in "objectValues(['News-Item'])"> <dtml-if someCondition><dtml-call "myList.append(_['sequence-item'])"></dtml-if> </dtml-in> What I get is a list of the RENDERED News-Items. But I want a list of the objects itselves. When I do: <dtml-in "objectValues(['Folder'])"> <dtml-if someCondition><dtml-call "myList.append(_['sequence-item'])"></dtml-if> </dtml-in> I get this list of objects because a folder isn't renderable. What do I have to do to get a list of the News-Item objects? Returning previous form

Hello zopistas, I have a ZPT page with user registration form in it. The form calls python script and if the user login is already in database I have to return previous filled form to change the user login. URL param string problem

Hi All, I have a DTML method which needs to concat a URL. We have: <dtml-with expr="web_client('http://192.168.1.1/tinorb/pieex2.php?imageName=CA')"> <dtml-var body> </dtml-with> There is a variable &dtml-theImageName; which needs to replace the CA in the above code with the value of &dtml-theImageName; (which is equal to OH). I tried doing something like <dtml-let theURL="_['http://192.168.1.1/tinorb/pieex2.php?imageName='+theImageName]"> But i get the following key error, which has the exact URL i want to pass to web_client (see above) but it's not working. Problem with management interface.

I maintain a Zope application that basically doesn't need any maintance ( lucky me!) However a problem crept up so I went to look via the management interface ...../manage To my suprise I did see the familiar tree in the left frame but on the right I did not see the contents of the rootfolder but the folder as if a had not typed .../manage i.e the rendered index_html. Corrupt Data.fs

Hello! I have a problem with a (probably) corrupt Data.fs. on our production system. This is what happend: Yesterday we accidently deleted a file called "Kopfschmerz1" (this means headache1, how fitting). We undeleted it with undo, and everything was OK. This night Data.fs was packed (0 Days) by a cron job. Now some strange things happen. If I use <dtml-in> on the (BTree-)Folder that contains "Kopfschmerz1" it breaks with an "Attribute Error" at "Kopfschmerz1".("Kopfschmerz1" is an instance of one of our products and should definitly have this attribute). If I try to open "Kopfschmerz1" Zope tells me that it doesn't exist, but it is shown in the list of the folder. If I try to delete "Kopfschmerz1" Zope tells me that it doesn't exist. If I try to create a new object with the name "Kopfschmerz1", Zope tells me that an object with this name allready exists. This is what I did wrong: I used Zope-2.5.0 with Python-2.1.1 Ironically I started to set up a new server with Zope-2.5.1b1 and Python-2.1.2 yesterday and was planning to switch to it today. What can I do now? Is there a way to get rid of the broken object? (I don't care if I lose "Kopfschmerz1", as long as I can keep the other >10000 objects in the database). What are the possibilitys to repair a damaged Data.fs? How can I find out if Data.fs is already damaged, even if no obvious errors occur? Thanks in advance! how to use allow_module() and allow_class() ?

Hello, I am tryting to enable the use of a module in my Python scripts, but am having trouble. I have done as suggested in the PythonScripts/README.txt and created myself a product with an __init__.py that has: # Global module assertions for Python scripts from Products.PythonScripts.Utility import allow_module, allow_class allow_module('urllib') allow_module('Projection') BUT when I try to run a simple script such as: from Projection import Projection, DEGREES o = Projection(['proj=lcc','lat_0=49n','lon_0=95w','lat_1=49n','lat_2=77n','ellp s=GRS80'],DEGREES) point = o.Forward(latlong[0],latlong[1]) return point I get an unauthorized access error! Anyways all this is part of the Projection module ... so what's the problem? Do I have to somehow use the allow_class() call ? changing ZClass properties from a PythonScript

Hi everyone, I've built a simple ZClass for publishing news items on my site. The news articles have a "teazer" property for holding a short attention-getting paragraph and an optional "body" property for the full article. When displaying the news on the site, the teazer paragraph is displayed and if a body exists, a "Read more..." link is displayed. No problem there. I'm using a boolean property called "readmore" that determines whether the link is displayed or not. I use a PythonScript to add the instance and I'm trying to figure out how to set the "readmore" property depending on whether any text has been entered in the body field. CompilerError when importing into 2.5

I'm trying to import a big object (a CMF site) from a 2.3.3 zope to a 2.5.0 zope, and I'm getting this CompilerError - anyone have a clue how to fix this? Adding ZClass instances using a Python script.

Hi, the question is very simple, could be a FAQ but does not seems to be a Frequently ANSWERED Question, so here it goes: 1) I have a Product called PhoneBookProduct (done via ZMI), 2) I have a ZClass in it, called Person, 3) the Person class has two properties name and phone, defined in a property sheet named basic, 4) I have a view for those properties. 5) I have a test Folder to test my Product. So far so good, I can add Person instances (Id asked) and then I can edit the properties; all this with the standard magically created stuff. Now I want to do my own interface, so I create the obvious index_html: <dtml-var standard_html_header> <table> <tr> <th>id <th>name <th>phone </tr> <dtml-in "objectValues('Person')"> <tr> <td><dtml-var id> <td><dtml-var name> <td><dtml-var phone> </tr> </dtml-in> <table> <form method="post"> <br>name: <input name="name" value="foo"> <br>phone: <input name="phone" value="555"> <br><input type="submit" name="add:method" value=" Add "> </form> where "add" (the action of the add button) should be a Python Script that creates a Person instance, edit the properties as of REQUEST, and add the istance to some folder (lets say test, that contains both the index_html and the add Python Script).
