Pretend folders

What I want is to be able to pretend that a certain folder exists when it doesn't. From a database of directory structures I would like to be able to build up fake folders that don't exist. So instead of http://host/directory?dir_id=345 I would like to have http://host/directory/Business/Entertainment/Music How do I go abouts doing this? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Do you an index named "date"? If so, is it a FieldIndex? I have also moved this to the Zope(a)zope.org list. manage_afterAdd method

Hi all, I'm working on a SiteNav product that creates Site Navigations for a website. At initialization I need an initlevel, so the product knows at which level it lives. I'm trying to do this with manage_afterAdd, but it isn't really working. But when I install my product I get initlevel -1. How can I get the initlevel at the correct value with manage_afterAdd? Or are there other possibilities here? Greetz Nico

so many zope books - which is prefered?

Hello all - my last visit to Amazon revealed several books on Zope. "the zope bible" - Robertson and Bernstein "zope web application construction kit" - Brockman "the book of zope" - Beehive "the zope book" - Latteier and Pelletier "the zope developers handbook" - Rowell "zope web app development & content mgmnt." - Spinklemire I'm sure that they are all fine publications. But I can only buy one or two. The Beehive book was rated highest by Amazon. Are some of these books considered better than the others by the community? pypgsqlda? does it exist?

Hello All, I cant seem to find a database adapter that uses pypgsql. Does anyone know if it exists, and if so where i can grab it? Google.com doesnt return any useful information, and Zope.org doesnt have it listed in http://www.zope.org/Products/external_access. Thanks in advance, Chris Humphries

Problem: form-checkbox -> MySQL-table

I got a MySQL-table with lots of "boolean"-values, in the form of ENUM('Y',N'). In my webpage I got a bunch of checkboxes and I want to map the checkboxes to the fields in the table. The problem is that a checkbox-value is only available if the checkbox has been checked. I've tried using <dtml-if fieldname> in my sql to check for the presence of a checked checkbox, add it to the columns-list and value-list if present, but I get an error " Error Value : 1136, "Column count doesn't match value count at row 1". That would be ok, if I could just see the SQL-statement that didn't work. In short : how can I post a bunch of boolean-like values from a form to a sql-method using MySQL? Thanks in advance, Thomas

Permission problem with ExternalEditor

Hi, I've got a problem with the ExternalEditor. It works for me, but I am in the manager role. Let's say, I've got a User X in the local role Y for the folder path /A/B/C Even if I grant _every_ permission to the role Y in folder C, the user is not able to open up his editor by clicking on the small pencil. Instead he gets asked for username/password. Which permissons do I have to grant to get this thing running for the user? When I grant him the local role "manager", it works, but I hesitate to do that. Thanks in advance Lars Reineke
