(Off topic warning! It's about an HTML posting solution...) It seems HTML posting is a frequent problem on the list, enough to generate occasional threads like this one... Why not filter it out at the source? From the mailman faq: Q. My users hate HTML in their email and for security reasons, I want to strip out all MIME attachments. How can I do this? A. Mailman 2.1 will probably have this feature built-in, but for now you can use add-on tools such as demime or stripmime. Mapserver and Zope

Hello, I´m trying to use Mapserver -- a open-source GIS-tool -- inside Zope and I would be glad to get some honts of some who have experience with that... I have already "swigged" mapserver to Python and now I think I have to wright Python scripts to access the methods/functions in the mapserver-library. Finally I have to add these Python-scripts as External Methods into Zope... Has anyone tried to use mapserver with Zope and is able to give me some advise whether my plan above is correct or totally rubbish.... Thanks in forward, Sven

Clearing forms with session vars set

Hi, I have a lot of forms, which store the form data in sessions when submitted, and in case of any errors the server returns to the form page with the errors and all the fields in the form populated with data in the session. I also have clear form buttons, which are the standard <input type='reset'....> kind. Now I know that because the form fields are populated from the session vars, the clear button will not work. So how do I get around this?? Is there any way to call REQUEST.SESSION.clear() and then reload the page when the user clicks on the clear form button?? HTMLDocument & Dynamic Navigation

Hello: I like HTMLDocument's feature of auto-wrapping standard headers and footers around a document when viewed. But I notice that there seem to be some acquisition problems with the header when it's auto-added to an HTMLDocument. I'm using a simple python script to return all files and folders in the current folder as links for my left hand nav, and this script is referenced in the standard header making for a nice auto navigation feature. Works fine when the header is used in a DTMLDocument, but nothing is returned from that script when the header is auto-wrapped around HTMLDocuments. Has anyone seen this before? Simple DTML variables referenced in the header work fine, but the navigation links are not returned, so I'm assuming that HTMLDocument's context somehow fails to see the files/folders in in the current directory. I tried using the ContentIndex product for the nav instead, in case my Python was faulty, but it also fails to return anything when the header is auto-wrapped around HTMLDocumewnts, so I'm assuming it's something about how HTMLDocument sees the current context. changing CMF sessioning (was: Re: [Zope] hidden form fields-based identification)

Is there a simple way to configure or modify CMF so that sessions can be tracked by passing session ID's in link URLs? Also, if possible, by cookies when either a) no session is detected through a URL session ID, or b) an existing session cookie is detected? My goal here is to use cookies if they're enabled, but if they're not to use session ID's in all links / forms, and to avoid trying to place a cookie with each new page view. It would be great if I didn't have to write this code myself, but I will if I must. I know little about CMF, except when I did install it once, I abandoned it because it only used cookie authentication as far as I could tell. I also haven't worked with sessioning products very much, but I have a little. I've done a lot of session-using work in Perl, though. I'd really like to use CMF, but I need sessioning that doesn't depend solely on cookies. Thanks, Am

ZSyncer: using a proxy?

Hi Andy, all .. We've got the following situation here: ZopeBox runs Zope, but has no direct outbound http access, it's been firewalled. All outbound traffic should go via ProxyBox. Using PyDoc with Zope products

Hi there, How do I use pydoc with Zope products? I have manually added the \lib\python path of Zope into the pydoc.py file but it has problems importing Persistent. After looking at the Persistence folder I see it's empty and the doc string says it is "jump started" by the __init__.py method. Any suggestions? Etienne

What kind of objects is returned from Z SQL objects?
