How to create an accurate download counter?

I need to keep a record of files downloaded from my website using zope. It is easy enough to add a counter and update my database I already have this working but how can I tell if the download has succeeded or if it has been aborted? Z2.log and apache log files

Hi. Most of us use Apache in front of Medusa for reasons that heve been fully discussed a lot of times. In my case i handle sites in Zope using Apache virtual host capability combined with Zope Virtual Host Monster, so i can get separate log files for each vhost. In this situation, does it make sense to also keep Z2.log growing more and more? TIA Paolo

Problems opening a visio file

Hello, I uploaded a visio file to the web. When I want to open it, I have to login to Zope. Why ? All Word-or Powerpointfiles open without logging in. Can somebody help me with this? Is is an IE problem or a property in Plone that I have to change? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, I'm trying to use an external method and limit the size of my query result to an Active Directory server. def searchUsers(base): i_ldap = ldap.open('####', ###) i_ldap.simple_bind_s('cn=###,cn=Users,dc=rpn,dc=ch','###') result = i_ldap.search_ext_s(base,ldap.SCOPE_SUBTREE,'sn=*',sizelimit=5) return result I know AD MaxPageSize is 1000 but the result is always: SIZELIMIT_EXCEEDED Valeur de l'erreur {'desc': 'Size limit exceeded', 'info': ''} I tried to use directly openldap 2.1.21-1: ldapsearch -W -x -z 5 -b "dc=rpn,dc=ch" -D "cn=###,cn=Users,dc=rpn,dc=ch" -h ### -p ### But the problem is the same, I've got a SIZELIMIT_EXEEDED after 5 users in the result... Any idea?

I fixed it in all my catalogs, and we haven't noticed it anymore (read: nobody has told me yet if it does still happen), I also stopped using caching as the headaches involved didn't gain me much. Fixing my bone-headed code turned out more noticable speedups than anything else. start up errors due to ExtensionClass module
