Dear Zope Zopistas, I have found that your new site have only 200 products instead of much bigger: http://zope.org/Products/all_products?batch_size%3Aint%3Arequired=999 And see that full listing (not updated from august) http://old.zope.org/Products/all_products?batch_size%3Aint%3Arequired=999 Same situation is with Zope howtos. Would you like to correct them, please? Links as I show you is very usefull for product/howto searching and are very usefull because you have all products nice at single page. Many thanks, J. Lukesh

etcUserFolder

I was wondering if any one has had any luck using the etcUserFolder product for Zope or if there is a better more uptodate user authentication alternative. I am runing Zope 2.6.2 and have not had any luck getting it to work. I set the etc option to /etc/passwd to test it out and it didn't work. I made a copy of a different passwd (without shadow passwords) and linked to it and had no sucsess. I also tried copying the file into the products folder and that didn't work either. any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks -matthew

Zope and chunked Transfer-Encoding problem

Hello ppl, Could anyone tell me whether Zope 2.5.1 supports Transfer-Encoding: chunked feauture of HTTP/1.1 for handling client request, such as sending a decent amount of data, e.g. file upload? I get Bad Request error with response code 400. I am pretty confident about the request correctness itself. Thanks, A.Z.

storages comparation

Hi, here we are planning to migrate our webs from apache to zope. My question is about alternate storages to de default all_in_one_big_file. For the last year I'm been using zope with no problems for some small parts of our web, but from time to time I see a message on the list about unrecoverable corrupted storages ... and that makes me very nervous. I would like to hear about experiences with other storages. I'm specially concerned with: * fiability * tools to recover corrupted databases * tools for backup * support for objects, undo ... versions are not important Performance and scalability is not important here. zope.org product pages problem: swrelease_edit_form

Hi, editing my software release (http://zope.org/Members/to_be/htmlarea3/0.5.1/swrelease_edit_form) I got the following error message: Your user account does not have the required permission. Access to 'edit' of (SoftwareRelease at /zopeorg/Members/to_be/htmlarea3/0.5.1) denied. Your user account, to_be, exists at /acl_users. Access requires one of the following roles: ['Manager', 'Reviewer']. Your roles in this context are ['Anonymous', 'Authenticated', 'Member', 'Owner']. Could please someone fix the permissions to enable the Owners to manage their content? Thanks, Tobias

Yeah, using dtml-sqlvar fixed it. I'm having a different problem now... I need to get a list of users in ACL_USERS to create a form where people can assign stuff to different users. Ok. What I am doing is rather than get data from the DB directly, I "cache" it in a Zcatalog. This give me the added side benefit of using the ZCTextIndex's search capability for all content on my site as well. How I do this is this: certain SQL methods use classes to massage the result set into a loose class (there are no or few methods on these classes). Then that class is passed to the Zcatalog with it's row_id as the object identifier. Here's the code sample that adds "feature" objects to the catalog (the metadata_ids are unique and constant). Python script catalogItem(metadata_id=0) exists in my feature ZCatalog if metadata_id is not 0: <-- whoops. Hi, I've just packed up a new release of Epoz - the cross-browser-wysiwyg-editor for Zope & Plone (and of cource all other Zope-based applications). Epoz requires IE >= 5.5, Mozilla >= 1.3.1 or Netscape >= 7.1. problem CMFOODocument

Hi, I have the following problem : I try to install CMFOODocument into Products directory. As far as I know I intsalled libxml2, libxslt and its python bindings, according to http://www.icoya.org/download_area/zope/libxml2-zope When I rebooted zope, I receive the following error , apparently problem with lixml2mod.so. Anybody has an idea ? Oh - that reminds me, I was able to setup an excel sheet as an ODBC source (on a windows server). However no one could edit the excel file to update it since it was locked by the ODBC driver.
