Zope, PIL, and Poll Problem

When attempting to use the poll product the pie chart displays as a broken graphic. The color boxes appear correctly and everything else about the poll seems fine. I have attempted to use this product under both Debian and Windows with exactly the same results. I have followed the published instructions regarding installing PIL under Windows and don't seem to have any errors. The request which returns the broken graphic is http://localhost:8080/Plone/Portal/poll1/question1/drawGraph?size:int=100 Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. ExtFile Productz seems to be incompatible with Zope 2.6.2

Hi, I'm the Debian GNU/Linux maintainer of the ExtFile product. I checked whether this product works with Zope 2.6.2 but I failed. Plone meets XML, XSL

Hi Zopistas, I'm trying to integrate externally-supplied content that is served as static XML with XSL for formatting. My problem is that the files are updated every 5-10 seconds, so realistically they should be filesystem objects. How do you include something like this within Plone, without the templates and such? Also, what is the most efficient method of serving up static (but constantly refreshed) content? -- Mitch

How to store a python list

Hi, I have a dtml method that returns a python list (actually a list of lists) and I would like to store this list as a persistent object. I need to make a lot of these so it should be lightweight. Is there a Product that does this? Any tips for writing one? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks for any suggestions! Ken

Tom, THANK YOU! You helped me address a couple of issues I've never known before. (Of course, I'm still new with this web stuff, so an awful lot of this is new to me.) If I open up a subordinate window, I can write text to it, but it is going to clear the window when I do an open. But, and this is the part that you probably already knew but I didn't guess at, I can use the different properties of that window to make changes even among different pages! This is so cool... To wit -> If I have a window open called "Stock" with a table, and a cell within that table with an ID="sDollars", then from the 'main' window, I can do this: sdWin = open('', 'Stock'); sdWin.document.all.sDollars.innerText = "$100"; (I think I copied this correctly.) Anyway, it works under IE, doesn't work at the moment for Netscape - I know the object reference is something different, just haven't found it yet. Thanks again! Aurélien, I use ExternalFile (http://www.zope.org/Members/arielpartners/ExternalFile) with Webalizer. It works perfectly, although you need to update it once a month. Just delete and re-add the external directory to include the new month's file using the 'batch' option. I have also installed Webmin (http://www.webmin.com) which I think should be even easier as it also allows you to run webalizer through the web. Cheers, Ken
