Hi! We are trying to find out how to use Zope for an image database. Are there any case studies, howto's, products, etc. that anyone can recommend? How should images be organized? Where should they be placed? How best view, sort, organize, catalog the content. How define access rights? What layout concepts have been developed to display images of different sizes? I guess there are different approaches to solve these questions. Just wanted to browse through some of them before beginning with to build ours ... so any advice would very welcome!!! thanks! -- 'K:)

Edit Subclass of File using ExternalEditor fails

Hi, I have a ZCLass with File as the base. I need the possebility to edit Instances of this class with ExternalEditor (0.7). Opening the Editor works fine, but when I try to save the file back to the server nothing happens. I did it also on the command-line saving the link and calling zopeedit.py with that file - nothing happens, no error - nothing I have all permissions to "777" - it can't be something with permissions - or ? Dear: engineer I install zope on Linux was succeed . But when I start it the operating system cue : Traceback (innermost last): File /home/chrism/Zope-2.6.2-linux2-x86/z2.py, line 843, in ? Absolutely! Search on the Zope.org site for information on localization or i18n (internationalization). The Plone add-on product (plone.org) is particularly strong in this area and would be worth your investigation. This is one of the real strengths of Zope. Setting zsession_del_notify in temp_folder (Transient Object Container)

Hi, Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong with setting up ZSESSION_DEL_NOTIFY to be set on start up when running multiple instances and starting/restarting using "zopectl restart my_instance_name"? We have 2 instances and they are working/restarting fine when using zopectl. I have tried adding the line "zsession-del-notify:/my_script_to_run_on_session_info" to zopectlrc.conf or my_instance_name.conf but it is not used. I have tried all sorts of variations on this with no luck. The only successful way I have been able to set the ZSESSION_DEL_NOTIFY var is by editing Application.py directly, which isn't the best plan. Is there something else I need to do to have the optional vars passed? I have looked thru zopectl, ZopeCTL.py, and the man doc but can not work out what I am missing.
