No luck, I even tried the windows version and I am getting the same error. I am trying to manage zope remotely over the intranet. Should I be logging on at the physical location? I know you want a Zope only solution, but I might suggest that if you really want good detail, you may want to consider logging with a reverse-proxy like Squid as an HTTP accelerator, which can be configured to log the entire http request and response headers. It takes up a lot of disk space because it logs so much more, but gzip will compress these logs 20:1. reversing a LazyMap from a Catalog

Hi. I'm very new to all this, and I have a wierd problem with my catalog results. I have four catalogs, which I update in a batch from mysql. I find that if I query MySQL with an ORDER BY title DESC, then my catalog searches give me results in alphabetical order, which is great. Now, if my searches have no results, I'm supposed to give the user the whole contents of the catalog (thank god for batching!). I did that by setting the search terms to "" in the request, but it comes out in reverse alphabetical order. I tried to use the list reverse function, but the result seems to be a LazyMap, not a list and I can't figure out how to reverse it efficiently. I also tried request.set("sort_on","title"), but that doesn't work because it's a text index, not field. Any ideas? Thanks a lot, Annie This script piece gets the catalog results. I installed zope 2.5 and I am going through the documentation. Has anyone been able to get the ZPoPyDa to work with this configuration: Popy 2.0.8 or Popy 3.0 beta1 ZPoPyDA 2.0.8 Zope 2.5.0 I get to the point where the ZPoPyDA is broken and says: The PoPy module is not installed I have put it in the /usr/local/ZopeHome/lib/python2.1 and the /usr/local/ZopeHome/lib/python2.1/site-packages and the /usr/local/ZopeHome/lib/python Directories....to no avail.... Hi Marcio The problem with Z2.log is that it usually logs too much! It shows every file,image,html,... No boss can comprehend what Z2 logs. I therefore wrote my own logger, which logs one line per page called from the server. I used a simple python script, which I call from the standard_html_header. Later I use an AWK script to analyze it and show me the numbers I want. Regards Oliver Erlewein
