Ordered Folder not returning contents as ordered

Hello all, Before i start hacking away at Ordered Folder code, can someone please shed light on why, this doesnt work: --snip-- # aq_parent is there for a reason, and it is reading in the # correct place, that has been verified by it's contents for dir in context.aq_parent.objectValues('Ordered Folder'): --snip-- The above works in the sence that it does return back every ordered folder in the context there, but they are not in order. the context of where it is reading the objectValues from is in an OrderedFolder. Ex: context_orderedFolder | --- orderedFolder1 | --- orderedFolder2 | --- orderedFolder3 The order that it returns them in is strange in that i dont see a pattern, at least an obvious one. They are not even returned in the order they were created, and I tested with using just a regular Folder and i get back the same exact results. Seems that OrderedFolder is not behaving as ordered. IMO, it should always return its contents as ordered however i reference it. Anyone have advice on something that i may be missing that is obvious, or routes to take on the "correct" method of correcting this before I plunge into the OrderedFolder code and return with a patch? thanks, Chris Humphries

How to import products developed in zope2.4.0 to zope2.3.3

Hi, I had written products ,zclass products,in zope 2.4.But zope 2.4 is crashing very often.So i want to launch site in zope 2.3.3. Iam unable to import products,.zexp files, in zope 2.3.3 .Iam getting No module named "pluginindexes.textindex.splitter.zopesplitter " error. Can any body tell me ,how i can import, regards, Dhanu

How to convert the url to parameter

Dear list, Probably it's a dummy question. But I just don't know how-to. Does any one know to convert the url to parameter. For example: http://somehost/parse/db_name/table_name/some_field_name/condition I would like to write a python script or dtml-method named "parse" to grab the record from database. Use the parameter to build a page from "SELECT * from db_name.table_name WHERE field_name='some_field_name' AND condition ='condition' " Thanks in advance. Terry

Authentication depending on client domain ?

Hi, This is perhaps not a strict Zope problem, but I need to have some parts of an extranet wiewable WITHOUT authentication from the LAN but WITH authentication from Internet. Has someone an idea for this ? Thanks in advance --Gilles

Greetings and Merry Holiday! I need help with dtml-if. I was able to successfully implement customized error messages with email sending to me. The problem is, I want to avoid receiving email when the errors are common like LoginRequired errors. I used this: <dtml-if "error_type != 'LoginRequired'"> <dtml-var sysad_send_process> </dtml-if> But then I want to avoid additional errors and thus: <dtml-if "error_type != 'NotFound'"> <dtml-var sysad_send_process> <dtml-elif "error_type != 'Not Found'"> <dtml-var sysad_send_process> <dtml-elif "error_type != 'LoginRequired'"> <dtml-var sysad_send_process> <dtml-elif "error_type != 'SMTPSenderRefused'"> <dtml-var sysad_send_process> <dtml-elif "error_type != 'Bad Request'"> <dtml-var sysad_send_process> </dtml-if> But now, all errors are sent to me. It seems like the dtml-if and dtml-elif does not work. Zope-Flash

hi all! i'm wandering if there's a way for flash to interact with zope. i've seen the interface for swift-generator, but i think zope can do one better. is there a way to send and recieve variables from flash to zope? i'm talking about the flash command loadVariables(); which i have been using with flash to interact with PHP PERL and ASP. Getting Ids from newly created objects

I've created a gallery for a website, using the Photo/PhotoFolder product. I've added the commands to add each, but have a slight interface quandry. I'd like to be able to retrieve the id of the newly created Photo object, in the case when its id is generated automatically based on the filename. Remote Zope Backup

Hi all, Does anyone knows of a good way to backup Data.fs remotely. Currently, i have a cron job that gzip Data.fs nightly and secure copy it to a remote backup host. My packed Data.fs is over 260MB (230MB with gzip). This is just too much nightly traffic. Is there a method where i can just perform an rsync of Data.fs instead of scp? Perhaps export Data.fs into XML format, then rsync or maybe perform just an incremental backup of Data.fs some how? Does anyone have any ideas? my custom log method for logging users

I have rewritten log function in http_server so that I can log usernames and passwords. I got this mostly from a post in the archives but since I am using login manager with basic cookie authentication it needs to grab the cookie and do some work on it. The only problem I am having is that the base64.decode function throws a binascii.error when a user has some special characters in her username:password. This happens with the underscore character for sure, and maybe others...I haven't checkd for sure. Any ideas?
