Sorry to bother people with such a silly question.... I have forms to enter data into a mysql db several forms enter into the same table so.... instead of writng similar methods for each one, I want to use one method something like: <dtml-call "productsUpdateMethod(REQUEST)"> (this updates the db) (I want this to return me to the page that called it) in a method. What's the best way to do this Regards, Mehmet

Are their plans to add workflows in WikiPages
by Norman Khine 22 Dec '01

22 Dec '01

Hi, Using wiki pages within a Wiki folder created in the zope.org site there seems to be no Workflow implementation in place. Is this being considered to be added in the future as currently members can add wiki pages which can be viewed by all, or is this going to be implemented within the CMF environment? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zz/********/z/****\zzz|****\*\zz|*******|z z/^^^^^^^^/z/******\zz|*^^^^|*|z|*|^^^^^|z norman khine zzzzzz/**/z|**/^^\**|z|*|zzz|*|z|*|zzzzzzz mailto:norman@khine.net zzzzz/**/zz|*|zzzz|*|z|****/*/zz|*****|zzz purley z/******/zz|*|zzzz|*|z|*|^^zzzzz|*|^^^|zzz UK zzZ/**/zzzz|**\^^/**|z|*|zzzzzzz|*|zzzzzzz zz/******/zz\******/zz|*|zzzzzzz|*|*****|z z/^^^^^^/zzzz\^^^^/zzz|^|zzzzzzz|^^^^^^^|z zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

RE: [Zope] Re: First python script in zope - import problem (permissions)
by Joshua Lanza 22 Dec '01

I added a script object and directly pinched the code that Jason sent: import DateTime return DateTime.DateTime().millis() and it seems to be working. It is strange that it does though. I see in the help (Control_Panel/Products/PythonScripts/Help/ModuleAccess.stx) that "string, math, and random" are availible for import, but "The only way to make other Python modules available for import is to add security declarations to them in the filesystem". Not sure if they intended this to mean the whole list or just a subset. On p. 153 of the Zope Book, it outlines the fairly tight restrictions on what you can import into Python from inside Zope and the time stuff is not listed. I just noticed that Python 2.2 final has been released and was wondering if there are any issues with it running Zope 2.4. Thanks! _______________________ Ron Bickers Logic Etc, Inc.

Re: [Zope] Emacs, ange-ftp, zope ftp serv, auto mode loading and font-lock-mode
by Azboklin Lirik 21 Dec '01

SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a space at the end of my file names!!...the process of figuring it out is below (and other useful emacs stuff) Thanks Jason Earl and Peter Sabaini, but unfortunately for me removing the slahes it still doesn't work. I'm pretty sure both regex's are equivalent (I may be wrong but I have studied regex's) Ok I looked in the buffer that emacs creates when ftp'ing * *ftp azbok@localhost 8021* 4037 Internal Ange-ftp In there there's an ftp command that emacs sends out which for me is: 150 Opening Binary mode data connection for file '/Control_Panel/Products/TableWidget/TableWidget/propertysheets/methods/index_html ' SO, I happened to notice the quotes surrounding the file name. Zope sticks a space at the end of the filename for some reason. I did click on rename in the management interface and there is no space. WHY IS THERE A SPACE??? My new emacs lisp is like so: (setq auto-mode-alist (cons '("_py ?$" . python-mode) auto-mode-alist)) The ? after the space makes it optional. This way it works either way. I included this for the html and sql files also. HORRAY! -------- More emacs stuff. I was searching about for html modes and found html-helper-mode. You can get it at http://www.gest.unipd.it/~saint/hth.html It has a bunch of templates set up. I'm just learning it now. _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx

Uploading lots of little files to zope
by Bruce Eckel 21 Dec '01

21 Dec '01

I now have lots of little files -- thousands -- to upload to Zope every time I do an update of a book. FTP-ing is quite painful. Is there some better solution; is there a way to upload a zip file and then expand it? Or is that something I must write an external method to do? Thanks... Re: [Zope-Annce] Squishdot 1.4.0 Released!
by complaw＠hal-pc.org 21 Dec '01

Chris: Just FYI. I downloaded and installed Squishdot 1.4.0. However, upon restarting Zope, I noticed that the version was still 1-3-0. Check the version.txt file.
