I have Cc:'d the list on this reply. We would need more detail information about what kind of database you need to incorporate into a Zope website. Who is accessing it etc. Cheers, ____________________________________________________ Tim Cook, President - Free Practice Management, Inc. http://www.FreePM.com Office: (731) 884-4126 ONLINE DEMO: http://www.freepm.org:8080/FreePM

>setup.py is in the MySQL-python directory. It also has a file called >README you might find useful. Thank you for your patience. But there is no setup.py in any directory of my server. I really think that I installed it now, because mySQL access works now from Zope. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

Hi Walter, make sure the user you specify in the Oracle Connection has execute privileges on the procedure you want to call. Hi, On Fri, Aug 03, 2001 at 01:43:32PM +0200, sanket.deshmukh(a)medienhaus-bremen.de wrote: > hello alet, > i want to know if its possible to upload files into Zope from a WindowsNT > (operating system) explorer. > please let me know how to do it. I don't use this system, so I can't answer for sure, but I suppose it's doable easily provided your web browser is not completely stupid. I forward this message to the zope(a)zope.org mailing list where you'll probably get a better answer than mine. bye, Jerome Alet

user permission on folder documents
by Winnie Au 13 Aug '01

13 Aug '01

Hi there, I want to create an admin page for supervisor to grant permissions to fellow workers in a matrix type screen. What I have done is created a list of users underneath top folder, then created a list of projects and assigned permission for update to different roles. So in the codes, I tried to loop through all the users, then find out the permission for every projects, but doesn't seem to pickup the user within the second loop. <dtml-in "WebDevelTest.acl_users.getUserNames()"> looping user: <dtml-var sequence-item><br /> <dtml-let userName=sequence-item> <dtml-in "WebRoot.objectValues('Folder')"> in folder: <dtml-var id> access allowed? <dtml-if expr="acl_users.getUser(userName).has_permission('Change DTML Document', this())"> Yes <dtml-else> No </dtml-if> <br /> </dtml-in> </dtml-let> </dtml-in> Thanks in advance. Cheers, Winnie

Permission disappears on server restart, ParsedXML, ZPT
by Brad Clements 12 Aug '01

12 Aug '01

Running Zope 2.3.3 (no patches) on RH Linux 7.1 I have a product in Control_Panel. Products In that product, there is a zclass that has a ParsedXML object in the product's methods folder. The ParsedXML object is used within a python script (also a method of the zclass), called from a ZPT (also a method of the zclass) to render some javascript code. Logged in users (even manager users) get an Unauthorized on the ParsedXML object, unless I set the "define permissions" tab on the Parsed XML object to "access contents information --> access contents information" Once this is done, the DOM can be traversed from the pythonscript. However when I restart the server, that permission changes itself back to (disabled). I have to manually reset the permission every time the server is started. Anyone have an idea why this is so? -- Here's the traceback. Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. Unauthorized You are not authorized to access ProductCategories.
