I can access it with LDAPAdapter from Zope (Linux), but I cant get authentication going. Probably because I dont know enough about LDAP and Active Directory. I noticed that you did an md5_encrypt on the password. Is that common in all ldap servers, or do I have to do something else in Active Directory? /Magnus

Commit_sub
by Sven Hohage 22 Feb '01

22 Feb '01

Hello, I've got a big problem with uploading files. If the file size gets bigger(i.e. 1,8 MB), I got the nice 'attribute error:commit_sub'. I've followed the different threads but couldn't find any sollution. With a pdf-file with size about 60kb there is no problem! The files are added to a catalogaware zclass. Thanks for every hint.

RE: [Zope] Do these work properly in 2.3...

> EventFolder I have been unable to get this to work in 2.3.0, and it has prevented me from upgrading one of my sites which depends on it in part. I spoke with the author who feels there is a bug in 2.3.0 causing the problem, and he has reported it to the development team. I dunno what exactly, but I'm hopeful it'll be fixed in 2.3.1. > TransparentFolders I have not encountered any problems with TransparentFolders in 2.3.0. Do these work properly in 2.3...
by John Morton 22 Feb '01

22 Feb '01

I'm having a terrible time getting the Virtual Host Monster to behave itself with Zope 2.2.5 and SiteAccess-2.0.0b4, so I'm thinking it's time to bite the bullet and upgrade to Zope 2.3. But various sites I host depend on various products, and it's typically not evident whether they all work as expected in 2.3, specifically: DataSkinAddons JPicture Renderable Squishdot ZDebug ZPatterns EventFolder LoginManager PythonMethod (Ok, so you use PythonScripts. Do they magicly upgrade?) TransparentFolders ZNavigator ZWiki Any upgrade experiences with these products would be enourmously useful TIA, John

How to remotely backup Zope object
by Oleg Broytmann 22 Feb '01

22 Feb '01

Hello! I've just uploaded two very simple shell scripts that show how to use wget to do remote backup. Nothing spectacular, just simple examples. Anyway I use these to backup a real site - zope.net.ru. http://www.zope.org/Members/phd/remote-backup/ Oleg. ---- Oleg Broytmann http://www.zope.org/Members/phd/ phd(a)phd.pp.ru Programmers don't die, they just GOSUB without RETURN.

by Gabriela Arevalo 22 Feb '01

22 Feb '01

hi everybody Just a simple question. I have the following error: 2001-02-22T11:53:02 PANIC(300) ZODB FS FS21 ERROR: /home/scg/pecos/zope/Zope-2.2.2-solaris-2.6-sparc/var/Data.fs has invalid transaction header at 20846399L i tried to solve the problem with fsrecover.py but it does not work. I tried to see the contents of Data.fs with tranalyzer.py but i can only see last transaction and it has no relation with the error shown. Is there another tool or a way to solve it ? thanks in advance for any reply Gabriela ------------------------------------------------------------------------ " The intelligence of his heart had taught him the uselessness of the glory " El General en su Laberinto - Garcia Marquez ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gabriela Beatriz Arevalo Institut fur Informatik und Angewande Mathematik - Gruppe Software Composition Neubrueckstrasse 10 - 3012 - Bern TE: +41 31 631 4868 (Raum: 106) Fax: +41 31 631 3355

Previously I ran 2.2.5 with python 1.5.2 and had Squishdot product on it. After the update everytime I try to add a new Squishdot with the Fancy demo with a 'blue heaven' theme I get the above error. then if I install just the Plain vanilla web pages theme the application installs, but then I loose the left frame, which shows the following error: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Any ideas as to what the problem may be? please not that Squishdot was used as an example, the same happens if I want to install CFM or any other product. Thanks Norman

Convert your C code to VHDL Automatically
by wilson＠foresight-systems.com 22 Feb '01

22 Feb '01

******************************************************* LegaC translates an ANSI C input program into behavioral VHDL code. The output program is logically equivalent to the input program; a VHDL compilation and simulation of the translated program will produce the same results as a compilation and execution of the original C source program. ******************************************************* Benefits - Quickly and economically converts your existing C code into behavioral VHDL. - Requires no modifications to existing C code. (The input is the same as that for a conventional ANSI C compiler.) - Generates behavioral VHDL code that is useful for simulation, IP packaging and transfer, and reuse. - Generates input files for behavioral synthesis. - Easy to incorporate as a processing step within a script or as a component of a larger system. - Simple and economical solution to the problem of converting C algorithm libraries into VHDL source code. ******************************************************** Features - Supports a broad range of ANSI C language features, including most types of pointers. - Clear and detailed messages are generated for any statements that cannot be translated. - The VHDL code generated is very readable and easy to relate back to the input program. - Program structures, data structures, identifier names, and even comments from the original C program are largely preserved. - Automatically converts C header files into VHDL context clauses. - User customization facility. - Includes standard math library and some support for other standard C libraries. - Generates portable VHDL-93 source code. - Runs under Solaris, NT, and Linux operating systems. - Both GUI and command line interfaces. - Fast and easy-to-use operation. ******************************************************** Obtain more information at www.jrs.com (under "Translators and Templates" in the Products section) or call 714-704-1670. ******************************************************** General Pricing Schedule: One node-locked copy is $4900 and it works on the following configurations: - PC Linux - PC NT - Sun Solaris Two copies: $3675 each (25% discount). Six copies: $2940 each (40% discount). Site License: $20,000. ******************************************************** Purchase includes 3 months free maintenance. Yearly maintenance can be purchased thereafter. Foresight offers services for any LegaC custom modifications that you might need to fit your application. ********************************************************* Obtain more information about Foresight products at http://www.foresight-systems.com/products.htm.
