FYI, I have set up a Wiki that should provide a usable documentation of the Zopes BTrees package. The Wiki is still evolving but it explains (hopefully) the most important datatypes, their API and other helper functions. Zope BBQ Europe - Early Bird registration now open

This is the first public release of the WebsiteLoadTest package. WebsiteLoadTest is a suite of Python scripts to record and replay HTTP traffic (including HTTP headers, cookies, POST requests). The suite supports multiple distributed replay clients for large-scale webserver load tests. [Open Flash Information Structural Templating System] Just in time to document all the new features of your product and Zope 2.5.1 beta, Open FISTS! Open FISTS was created to provide a framework for documentation of software products and ideas. This template is being released first to the Zope community at large, as a simple way to document new and existing products, on all levels. It is very simply a template for use with Macromedia Flash, a common and extremely useful visualization tool, with many differet ways of creating and editing visual information. The template contains a wide set of Zope 2.4 era Icons, as well as the icons from Apache 1.3 PRODUCT DEVELOPERS- Please email me the icons for your product so I can include them in the next release! (one month from now!) And feel free to email me sets of other visual/archtectural/structural gliphs- you know, the standard stuff used to make great software diagrams- and I'll include them as sets too! Zope 2.5.1 Beta 1 Released

Zope 2.5.1 beta 1 has been released - you can download it from Zope.org: http://www.zope.org/Products/Zope/2.5.1b1/ The binary releases for Zope 2.5.1b1 contain the Python 2.1.2 final release. Users of the Zope source release should note that Python 2.1.2 is now the required platform. Python 2.1.2 includes a fix to an issue that could cause crashes in Zope. The Linux binary is linked against RedHat 5.2 libraries; users of more recent distributions are encouraged to install the source release instead of the binary release of Zope. Groups provide a level of indirection in the user -> roles mapping, which gives greater flexibility. The groups are defined and managed in the User Folder. They are then used at the local roles level, where you can define an additionnal mapping of groups -> roles, thus giving the users who belong to these groups additionnal local roles. NuxUserGroups provides an easy way to define workgroups: a workgroup can be defined simply and managed in a centralized manner. Caveat (This product is not compatible with other products that may patch local roles support in BasicUser, for instance LRBlacklist. Do not use them together.)
