once it's published, http://zope.org/Members/bowerymarc/CMFCollector-update Since there's no migration path for CMFCollector, and I have a bunch in operation, I'm keeping it up to date. Hopefully zope.org will pull my changes back into their cvs. Actually, there's really nothing wrong with this product, it works just fine and does what it needs to do.... CMFCollector Changelog version: 0.91 * 2/25/2004 MSL (http://www.zope.org/Members/bowerymarc). Bug fixes to maintain the product's compatibility with up to zope 2.6.2, CMF 1.4.2, Plone 2.0RC5. I have a bunch of old collectors I don't want to lose! * MSL changed the following skins: - collector_contents.pt - ability to set batch size. date range search. - collector_macros.pt - changed issue_header to show structured description (i.e. renders html correctly) - collector_search.py - added date range search. TODO: check date pairs, fill in min/max date if one date is missing. * you may have to give Manager proxy roles to these scripts, depending on your specific security settings (if you have problems try this): - collector_add_issue.py - collector_issue_edit.py - collector_issue_followup.py * added limi's collector_plone skins and updated Install.py to install those too. TODO: uninstall. * new collector_issue_workflow.zexp fixes some bugs and (importantly) adds a TESTED state. Yes, once you resolve, then you must test! * updated the defaults for a new collector config to more sensible values.

Nuxeo CPS 3.0 rc3 released

Nuxeo CPS 3.0 rc3 released The hopefuly final release candidate before CPS 3.0 has been released. All the 355 unit tests are passing, of course, but there may be a few bugs left, so it's the last time for you to grab the tarball / zipball and test it (under Zope 2.6.1, 2.6.4 or 2.7.0) and report bugs (+ patches :) ) to the cps-devel mailing list (http://lists.nuxeo.com/mailman/listinfo/cps-devel). This new release includes many bugfixes, minor API changes (see the HISTORY files in the products for more information), an italian translation thanks to Paolo Dina, a dutch translation thanks to Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Belgium. NuxMetaDirectories has been removed from the package, since it has been superseded by [1]CPSDirectory (itself based on [2]CPSSchemas). If your project was already using NuxMetaDirectories, you can still use it as an add-on. [ANN] PloneCollectorNG 1.1.2 released

I am pleased to announce the release of **PloneCollectorNG 1.1.2 (PCNG)** PCNG is a bugtracking system for Plone. It is based on the concepts and ideas of CMFCollector and CMFCollectorNG but it is a complete re-write. PCNG is a very generic and open framework (you can configure nearly everything TTW). This release **REQUIRES Archetypes AT 1.3**. **Older Archetypes versions (including 1.2.1) WILL NOT WORK**. This major step was necessary because a lot of Archetypes hacks in PCNG 1.0.0 were backported to Archetypes CVS/HEAD. Changes since V 1.1.2 - added new preference option for users to determine if they want a new window or the same browser window if they click on an issue in the list of search results. - resolved some view problems with overlong lines in issue comments both in the HTML view and in the email transcript. - new issues can be directly assigned to participants without using the "Followup" tab. - Reporters with insufficent rights could not create new tickets - some more workaround and fixes for PlacelessTranslationService - 'folder_contents' could not display Collector instance under some circumstances - basic support extended reports (open issues grouped by user) - basic support for groups: there is a new tab "topic-users" which allows you to assign staff members to main topics . The list of topics is taken from the value list of the field 'topic'. If 'topic' is a string like "maintopic/subtopic" then only maintopic is used. This means you can split your topics into to different subtopics but only the main topic can be used a group. If you file a new issue or assign an issue then the available groups are shown. Selecting such a group for assignment means that **every** staff member belonging to this group is assigned automatically. - support for GroupUserFolder added Volunteers wanted: PloneCollectorNG is fully internationalized. If you want PCNG to support your language that translate the catalog file (i18n folder) to your language and submit it to me. Note: Any user should read doc/INSTALL.txt before the installation. Upgraders should reinstall the PCNG either through the quickinstall tool or through "Plone setup". Zope 3 sprint at PyCon

This is an update on the Zope 3 sprint at PyCon. The sprint will be held March 21-23. On Sunday, March 21 I will present a hands-on Zope 3 developer's tutorial. This tutorial describes how to develop applications for Zope 3 in Python. The slides can be found at: http://dev.zope.org/Zope3/ProgrammerTutorial Anyone who hasn't worked with Zope 3 before needs to attend the tutorial. If you want to learn how to develop for Zope 3 but don't want to sprint, you are welcomed to attend the tutorial. As far as tasks goes, I'm pretty flexible. I'd prefer that people work on things that need to be done for the first release of Zope 3, Zope X3.0: http://cvs.zope.org/Zope3/doc/TODO.txt?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/vnd.viewc… Of course, this list is likely to change before the sprint. :) I decided not to start on the 20th because I know that some of the attendees will be traveling that day. IIS2Zope for serving Zope and Plone from IIS with fast ISAPI action

Freshlogic announces IIS2Zope, which serves Zope and Plone behind IIS using fast ISAPI action. Those of us who want, or must, run Microsoft IIS have not until now had an elegant or efficient solution for serving Zope. PCGI is inefficient because it launches a new process for every request. The ASP404 solution works, but it does require every request to be interpreted by the ASP engine. Further, ASP404 requires a 404 error to be triggered in IIS for every request. IIS2Zope on the other hand, is fast and efficient. IIS2Zope uses an ISAPI interceptor to grab requests destined for Zope or Plone. Requests are then handed over to an ATL Server proxy for serving from Zope. All components are written in C++ and offer the fastest feasible technique to get that Zope content to the browser via IIS. Epoz 0.7.5 released

Hi, just released an minor update of Epoz - the wysiwyg-editor for Zope & Plone. Epoz 0.7.5 fixes some css-issues with the upcoming Plone 2.0-release. Thanks to Alexander Limi for his patches. I've also added two new translations. Please download Epoz 0.7.5 at: http://mjablonski.zope.de/Epoz (Please note: The download-location of Epoz has changed. Uploading products to zope.org is a real mess... no fun anymore, needs too many clicks, too slow, etc.pp...) Just a note: some people reported problems with freezing browsers when switching to source-view. This is not a Epoz-Issue! If you run Zope 2.7 from CVS, please delete the obsolete xmlrpclib.py in Zope-2.7-head/lib/python. Zope 2.7 uses the xmlrpclib.py from Python 2.3.3. Just another note: The development of Epoz 0.x is still in progress. epozNG (1.x) is a fork of the project, which will be renamed in the near future. The only relations between Epoz 0.x and epozNG are the name (this will change soon) and the focus of projects (produce wysiwyg-editing-elements for web-based-cms-systems).
