*About the Zopewiki project* zopewiki.org aims to be a simple, comprehensive, user-maintained repository for Zope documentation, notes and links - a hitch-hiker's guide to Zope. See http://zopewiki.org for more. *News* In april, the wiki seemed to come alive due to the number of different people editing (10, as a rough guess). There has been a fair amount of cleanup activity in recent weeks. Some anti-spam measures were installed and there have been no spam incidents recently. This impacts users, however: you will not be allowed to add external links until you have configured a username at http://zopewiki.org/ZopeWiki/useroptions . At the moment this is not spelled out explicitly. The mirrored ZopeBook content has been removed in favour of links to the master copy at plope.com. There is a page linking to each chapter, which might serve for annotation/discussion of the chapters as long as backtalk comments are disabled. Seems I'm never going to finish this.. just *post* it! *What is it ?* Zwiki is a Zope product for building wikis - a special kind of website that's easy for anyone to edit. Zwiki was started in 1999 by Simon Michael and now receives improvements from many contributors. It is released under the GNU GPL. A new version is released on the first of the month. [Zope3 / ECM] : Project launched !

The main goal of this project is to build the next-generation Open Source ECM Platform on top of Zope3 able to compete with the major ECM solutions on the market such as Documentum, OpenText, etc... It's been discussed seriously since last year's Castle sprint, and some events occurred such as the Zope3 / ECM sprint [1]_ in March in Paris this year where people from the major Zope2 CMS projects were represented. (Plone, Silva, CPS and Zope Corporation people were there) showing everybody's interests in working together on a common project as a first commitment in this effort. .. The website will soon (in next 2 days) contains documentation about some collaboration rules (that will be discussed on the mailing- list). Open issues : ============== They are still some open issues that needs to be discussed and fixed : - For the moment, Nuxeo is hosting alpha code in its repository but this is not intended to be definitive. But please, do not make it the main point of the discussion. X2Y is a flexible, configurable and extendable server-based document processing framework written in python. I am pleased to announce the final release of TextIndexNG V 3.0.0. TextIndexNG V 3 is a complete new implementation based on Zope 3 technologies and can be used both in Zope 2.8 or 2.7 (with Five) or in Zope 3. What's new? - multi-field indexing and query support - multi-lingual support - configurable converters (through ZCML) - new indexing API (allowing you to hook your custom content types with TextIndexNG through Zope 3 adapters). Requirements: - Zope 2.8 or Zope 2.7 (+ Five) or Zope 3 (Zope 3 has nothing like catalogs yet) TextIndexNG V3 will *not* run with bare Zope 2.7 installations without Five (and this will not be changed in the future). Download: http://sf.net/projects/textindexng For installation and documentation issues refer to doc/README.txt from the archive. It's basically the same procedure as with former versions except you *need* to recompile the extension modules. Issue Dealer (http://www.nidelven-it.no/products/issue_dealer) is a issue management tool featuring a weblog publisher (client), weblog (server), WebDAV client, WYSIWYG editing of HTML and Images and more. This announcement covers the last 3 releases, which were mostly minor tweaks and one major new feature, the ability to import web pages as issues. May 9, 2005 -- Nuxeo is happy to release CPSSharedCalendar 1.0beta. CPSSharedCalendar is an advanced, flexible calendaring component for CPS3. It allows CPS users to access personal calendars using a web interface. Events on the calendar can be shared between multiple users, as a user can invite others to an event. This event will then appear on the calendar of the invited users as well. Features of the CPSSharedCalendar include among others: - a web interface for managing calendars, - integration with iCalendar clients (Apple iCal, Mozilla Sunbird, KOrganizer...) using the iCalendar protocol, - invitation workflow, - meeting support, - meeting helper that looks for free time, CPSSharedCalendar is built on a reusable core and is thus not just for CPS. It has been written from the ground up to be easy to integrate with other Zope 2 platforms such as Plone and Silva, and with portability to Zope 3 in mind.
