Expand all functionality for Confera

Hello! Newbie here, but I wanted to bounce something off of everyone: In Confera the ?expand_all=1 addition to the end of the URL was not working. I went and did as much research as I could on how Confera returned its 'branches' I assumed that Confera was broken since the functionality seemed to work for other types of trees. Upon further investigation, I believe I have found the culprit to be in the TreeTag.py as follows: def tpValuesIds(self, branches, args, simple_type={type(''):0, type(1):0, type(1.0):0}.has_key, ): # This should build the ids of subitems which are # expandable (non-empty). I still have functionality of all my management trees, but don't know what other Zope-based apps might depend on the broken code. Feedback welcome and invited. Hi, When I creat zope products with zclasses, First I create a product and with the specified name: "HRsystem" under the directory of Control_Panel/Products Folder. Then Click "Add" and then "Generate", Go to "HTsystem" Product Folder and create a ZClass by selecting "Z Class" form the product add list. I select all of the "Base classes" that listed .... Then when I want to add a instance of "HRsystem" under /Victor directory.Zope give some errors like this: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: TypeError Error Value: argument name was ommitted Troubleshooting Suggestions The URL may be incorrect. The parameters passed to this resource may be incorrect. A resource that this resource relies on may be encountering an error. For more detailed information about the error, please refer to the HTML source for this page. If the error persists please contact the site maintainer. What's the difference? I have a task list, which adds a new task with the following simple dtml method. The first version gave me some grief, because it happend to work as superuser, but no longer when I logged into zope as manager of the page (which is restricted to the manager of the task list). Code working as superuser only: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('id', _.str(_.int(ZopeTime())))"> <dtml-with "manage_clone(task, REQUEST['id'], REQUEST)"> <dtml-call "propertysheets.manage_changeProperties(REQUEST)"> <dtml-call "propertysheets.Basic.manage_changeProperties(REQUEST)"> </dtml-with> <dtml-call "RESPONSE.redirect(URL1 + '/listall')"> To work out what's goin on I removed those calls to propertysheets and threw in all sorts like <dtml-var id>. I allways ended up with a permission problem (zopes reply said), but I doubt. Now I modified the code slightly... catalog indexing

Does anyone know how to make the catalog index the string 'C++' I would be greatly indebted. Or just as good, when will the catalog allow specific phrases to be indexed? Obviously 'C++' is not in the list of stop words, so I guess it sees the '+' and ignores it. All my best, -- Jason Spisak webmaster(a)hiretechs.com

Oracle and MAX

Has anyone used the sql MAX() with Oracle. We were using Sybase and ported to Oracle and it seems that the MAX() in Oracle converts my real numbers to integers this did not happen in Sybase, any thoughts? By the way AVG() does the same SELECT MAX("ItemNumber") FROM SO_Items WHERE "ServiceOrderID" = 1 AND "ItemNumber" < 2 The ItemNumber is a number(9,3) in the table SO_Items. By the way the sql code works fine in sqlplus.

ZODB and # of objects

FileStorage's property of requiring memory proportional to the number of objects in the ZODB may be causing me problems. I'm running into trouble with a ceiling of 150,000 items, but the memory usage becomes too high, 60 or 70 or 80Mb well before reaching that point. I don't think the problem is a memory leak in my code, but perhaps I'm doing something wrong; has anyone stored that many items in a ZODB before? What was the memory usage like?
