Resize a image stored in a Oracle's BLOB Field

Hello, Thanks, I have displayed the images which them was stored in a Oracle's BLOB field, with: <dtml-call expr="RESPONSE.setHeader('content-type','image/jpeg')"> <dtml-in SQLMethod_with_a_Only_Row> <dtml-var expr="BLOB_FIELD.read()"> </dtml-in> However, I would like to resize this image. I can not do it with the "height" and "width" attributes, because the image is obtained from a Oracle's BLOB field, and no from image object (i.e.: I can not use <dtml-var "ImageObject.tag(border='5', align='left')">). How can I do it ? Thanks again !

Zope hanging on high loads

Hi, we are using Zope to develop some pretty complex web-sites (http://www.tradinglab.com) and we are encountering some serious problems with high loads. apparently, sometimes, zope does not answer to the pcgi-wrapper and after some minutes we have tens (60+) of pcgi-wrapper processes hanging with only a few in the "ready" state. all the others are sleeping waiting for zope to answer. that happens with every version of zope from 1.0.0 up. if there is some acrtion I can take to send you a more informative bug report, please let me know, thank you very much for your time, federico -- Federico Di Gregorio MIXAD LIVE System Programmer fog(a)mixadlive.com Debian GNU/Linux Developer & Italian Press Contact fog(a)debian.org Best friends are often failed lovers. -- Me

Well, recently I read the code for Postgres, MySQL and Oracle adapters, and a lot of code in lib/python/Shared/DC/ZRDB, so I thing I do understand what is Connection object, adapter and so on.` It seems I need to write a Connection object based on Shared.DC.ZRDB.THUNK.THUNKED_TM or Shared.DC.ZRDB.THUNK.TM, maintain a pool of actual database connections, and pass queries down to db_connection.query(). It is an object from my pool of connection, but I need to know 2 things: 1) login/password; I thing the pool will be just a dictionary indexed by (login, password) tuples. I can stuff login/password into a REQUEST object, but is the REQUEST object available in the query() ? 2) whether the connection is actually running a query; if the query is in the process - I need to open new connection for the same user. Partial searching

Thanks to Itamar Shtull-Trauring and his friends at @Table, Zope now has several new ZCatalog enhancements. 1) Partial Searching ZCatalog now supports the ability to work with globbing searching on text indexes. This means that queries like "z*", "zop? AND *cool", "digi* c?eations" are now possible. 2) Vocabulary objects Vocabulary objects encapsulate all the langauge specific features of ZCatalog into a seperate object. For now, there is still primarily english-centric support, but in the near future it will be very easy to extend vocabulary objects to support specific (or generic) language features. Future improvements to vocabulary objects include stop-word managment, stemming rules, and better control over word splitting. 3) Vocabulary-Catalog interoperation Catalogs require Vocabulary objects now. When you create a Catalog, the Catalog looks 'up' (like ZSQLMethods) for a Vocabulary object to use. If you do not specify a vocabulary object, the Catalog will create it's own private one. Using this model, you can have, for example, 'French' and 'English' vocabulary objects that are used by different catalogs depending on what language you want that catalog to work with. This is now checked into the Zope CVS, I'd really like some people to kick the tires on this one. As usual, please submit bugs to the Collector. -Michel

How to insert time use mysql connection!

In my project, I want to insert time flag to my Mysql database. I use the following method to do so. But it cannot work. My Database structure is: ... publishtime DATE NOT NULL ... To the User's guide of Mysql ,It is said that the format of Date is like: "2000-01-01". So I use <dtml-var Zopetime fmt="%Y-%m-%d">> Because the result is: "2000-01-01", just fit the format of requirment. I use it like this: , <dtml-var ZopeTime fmt="%Y-%m-%d">) But the result is: I see that the content of that field is: "0000-00-00". Can some one give me some advices! Thanks a lot!
