Resize a image stored in a Oracle's BLOB Field

Hello, Thanks, I have displayed the images which them was stored in a Oracle's BLOB field, with: <dtml-call expr="RESPONSE.setHeader('content-type','image/jpeg')"> <dtml-in SQLMethod_with_a_Only_Row> <dtml-var expr="BLOB_FIELD.read()"> </dtml-in> However, I would like to resize this image. I can not do it with the "height" and "width" attributes, because the image is obtained from a Oracle's BLOB field, and no from image object (i.e.: I can not use <dtml-var "ImageObject.tag(border='5', align='left')">). How can I do it ? Thanks again !

As a side effect to turn off acquisition, you defined the attribute. This will not play well with inheritance: You will not only prevent acquisition of "index_html" but also prevent inheritance of it (which may be really necessary in some contexts). Dieter

ANNOUNCE: PartitionedFileStorage

For all who are interested in breaking database size barriers without moving to Oracle or Berkeley Storage, here's something to try out. http://www.zope.org/Members/hathawsh/PartitionedFileStorage I *highly* recommend you back up Data.fs before installing. What is known to work: - Reads and writes of logical files greater than 3 GB on versions of Linux that support only 2 GB files. - Undo and packing. - Fast random reads and writes. - Using simple binary concatenation to move back to a standard single file. - Using PartitionedFile completely independent of Zope or ZODB. What has not been tested, but will very likely work: - Tranalyzer. - Putting the partitions on different physical devices. (Poor man's RAID :-) ) What couldn't be tested by my limited resources: - Platforms other than Linux. - Running this on a busy Zope site. (No, www.zope.org is not running PartitionedFileStorage. :-) ) BTW to all in the U.S., Happy Thanksgiving! Shane

How to confuse the publishing process

If you go to a URL that ends in a folder, you get the index_html in that folder, right? Well, yes and no... If you go to: http://server.com/folder1/folder2/folder1 ...where folder1 is a folder in your Zope's root, folder2 is contained in folder1, but doesn't itself contain a folder1 (so the last folder1 in the url is also the first one, just acquired), Zope returns the following: <html><head> <base href="http://localhost:8080/testnav/normaltest/testnav/"> </head> <body> <Folder instance at 014B3D80> </body> </html> So, what's going on here? why no index_html rendering? cheers, Chris

ZPatterns Product distribution not showing up as a product?

Hi, If I try to distribute it and leave it set for "Allow redistribution". Its not showing up in the Zope products directory tree after I untar the 3 files into the file system products directory and restarting Zope. I have a Dataskin based ZClass, 2 Specialist, the default constructor forms. I'm using Zope 2.2.2 on win98 ZPatterns 4.3b2. Is this expected behaviour for a ttw product? It works if I export/import it. -Jimbo

There are separate flags to turn code generation for pre- and post-conditions off. This is useful, as follows: while debugging your code, turn both on. When you've fully debugged an application, you turn both off. When you've fully debugged a library module, you create two versions: one with both turned off, for use in fully debugged applications, and one with pre-conditions on and post-conditions off, for use by other code that is still in need of debugging. I've heard that this works very well, and in Python 3000 (when we have optional static typing) I would love to add this to Python.
