Hi, I ve got a little problem: I am starting a python script within a python script. how do i pass the variables from one to the other? (i tried setting the request variables and getting the values by the python script but it didnt work) it looks like this: Python-Script: code of python script1 container.REQUEST.set('value', '123') <-------------I tried this but my script didnt get the value container.py2 <----Second python script should get values by the request variable code of python script1 Sebastian

ZEO on Windows?

I'm having some issues trying to use ZEO on Win2k w/ Apache and Quixote. Specifically: - if I happen to call client code before the server is running, I get a python process which is completely hung -- I can't even kill it from the process monitor w/ administrator privs. Every client request will result in a hung Python process. - if the server is already set up (as should normally be the case), sometimes the client request goes through, sometimes it doesn't. I'm not getting any tracebacks or info in the Apache logs. I could write up some simple Python test cases, but the documentation makes me wonder if ZEO works on windows at all (e.g. the unqualified reference to unix domain sockets =). so... Does ZEO work on Windows? Any gotchas? --david

Deleting versions from Control_Panel

For some reason, when I try to view the Version Management screen under Control Panel, I get a bunch of gibberish for one of the versions... And... it won't let me click on the check box and "Discard" it... Is there a way to do this manually? Or even see which versions are available manually? We are running ZEO, so I should be able to import Zope and go from there... --andy.

Perhaps synchronization over ZEO as well as XML-RPC? Thoughts? member properties disappear

Hi all, We develop a Website use Zope 2.4.3 and CMF 1.1. Today when I export the member's properties. I found some member's properties were disappeared. The reason I found is these member records stored in portal_memberdata were lose, but acl_users still has all portal user object( for example, there is a user named howard in portal acl_users, but no record id is howard stored in portal_memberdata ). I restored the yesterday's backup. Everything looks ok. Does anybody can tell me why? Thanks a lot Howard

Zope Hotfix 2002-03-01 (Ownership Roles Enforcement)

This hotfix addresses an important security issue that may affect some users of Zope versions 2.2.0 through 2.5.x The issue involves the checking of security for objects with proxy roles. The context of the owner user that created the object with proxy roles was not being taken into account when determining access to the object with proxy roles. This flaw could allow users defined in subfolders of a site with sufficient privileges to access objects at higher levels in the site that they would not normally be able to access. We highly recommend that any Zope site running Zope 2.2.0 through Zope 2.5.x have this hotfix product installed to mitigate the issue. Zope 2.5.1 and 2.4.4 will contain a fix for the issue, at which time the hotfix can be removed.
